If you buy one used, check it out and see how much they are selling it for. I'd personally buy a new one since stuff on a used car ( a well used one) won't last much longer anyway.

Default FLOYD BENNETT FIELD

That time will soon come again. Anyone going this summer? It's basically a run what ya bring kinda place and they just have fun running laps. Rumor has it there will be a lap counting system this yr. Not too sure though. I'm trying to see if QURC is closer though to where I live. Both places I think are worth taking a visit since I only been to floyd once and never to Queens. Connecticut tracks are just TOO far.

Default lighter car... Faster response?

I installed the graphite F/R shock towers, the belt brace, the steering brace, the one way front diff, titanium shafts F/2 speed and the car lost around 66 grams... the chasis weighs 20 grams less than the stock one, .8 LW 2 speed around the same. Besides that and the titanium screws, what else is there to get to be lighter? My car is weighing without gas 1830 grams with all th extras....

there are still pretty many things out there that you can do, just a few are.....

cuttin out the center of the front belt bulkhead thing, not really sure wat its called.

more graphite parts.....front bumper plate, receiver battery plate,
steering plate, lower suspension mounts, lightweight upper deck,
brake pad side plates.

carbon graphite suspension arms set. hpi part

lightweight engine mounts

and if u really want, use a li-poly battery for you reciever.

i hope i gave u a few ideas...most of the stuff is found at www.rcmart.com

ya..if u wanna go cheap, just try to shave as much plastic off your car as you can with out ruining it structurally..i did it and it took off a pretty good amount of weight.

I wouldn't go into such hassle in trying to find all the upgrades if you aren't seriously racing or anything. I plan to just get the few graphite parts, .08 module gears and the light shafts.

I never had any problems with the car. For the price, the R40 will hold its own against other cars providing the driver knows how to tune and exactly what he is doing. The thing is to get the car to not only handle the way the driver wants it to, but also to be dialed into the track. I just followed the manual exactly the way it was. Never had a problem.

ya that motor should work great...ive never had a sirio but ive raced against them and they are pretty fast. i know a lot of people change there carbuerators on the sirio engines because they come with this plastic composite material and they tend to break a lot, so they just buy rossi or o.s. carbs.

Well today I was breaking in my motor for my maxx(a .18cvrx). And while i was heat cycleing it i took the car for a spin. And wow! It felt so fast compared to the truck. I do have a question though my .18 isn't really trying to heat up over 180F. I leaned it out about a quater of a turn and a small amount on the low end but its just not trying to heat up. Anyone know how I can get temps up?
