I came across a traxxas 4tec very cheap. Its an older one but in like new condition. I have a OS 18 and a traxxas 3.3 . which engine would be better for it and is there any good upgrades anyone can recommend.

Man how sad 37 people looked at this post and 37 people had no clue. All I asked was a simple question.

i have looked at the post, so i guess i have to now comment or ill be another one of the 37 other people !
i do think the motors are similar, but you cant go wrong with the OS 18.
as for upgrades, what are you planning to do with the car ? race it ? or just play around ?

Most of the time people don't respond because they simply don't know. I don't know, so I didn't respond. To get angry because people don't respond really is childish.

The problem is that your car isn't in the same classification as the ones 99% of the people here have so they don't have any idea. Like if you had a civic and you asked a question in a racing forum for supercars. I actually suprised that you didn't get any responses like "get rid of the whole lot and get yourself a real car" You would probably get a better response in the rookie forum.

Well see I have a real life and its not wrapped up in the internet nor rc cars. So if you say I need to get a real car you need to get a real life.

Your so cool that you race. Look I posted on here because I know alot of people on here race. So from what I have seen of the races around here I know people have seen these 2 engines run before. And so before I wasted my time of putting the lower end engine on I figured Id see which one was better. Come on over 100 people read this post and until I started talking trash not one person said anything.

Ok im done with this. There is no use in anyone posting anything else i and signing out and not coming back to this childish site. The whole reason I posted this forum sucks was just to see how childish you guys were. I am going to a real forum with some people that have hit puberty and the once that have are not living in their parents basement jerking off to pics of some other guys rc car.

Most users on RCTech are mature guys. Posting what you did was immature and inappropriate. If you would wait and not rush thing you will get a better answer.

I'm going to be the bigger man here and help. I would go for the O.S. because of quality. I've used Traxxas engines and I prefer O.S. Simple as that. Good luck with your venture.

Hey, I wasn't trying to put you down duffman. You were upset because there wern't people answering your questions and I was just trying to explain that there probably arn't many people here familiar enough with your particular car and both engines you listed to comment. I was trying to steer you to a forum where you could probably get a better answer. I can tell you for sure that you can't demand answers here and expect any answers or respect.

i'll answer your question. Put the 3.3 your car will be ballistic and i dont know of hop ups. I only say the 3.3 bc i have seen a 4tec with a 3.3 and it was way fast. Now you cant say no one can answer your simple question
