brake issue on Mtx-4 or Mtx-4R?
Hi,
I I am having trouble with brakes with my Mtx-4. when I start the main I have brakes for the first 5 or 7 mins. but I have to run the rest of the main with very very poor brakes. I have allways have this problem but I ran all 2007 season with this issue. now I start with the same issue I won the first race but I'll like to correct this and not have to slow the race rhitm. Any tip from the Mugen driver's or other brand experience drivers?

Since when you don't change the pads? I think that if you verify them regularly, they'll probbably work well. Also, if you install the ventilated disc brake of the MTX-4R, you can solve that issue.... It works better....

sounds like your pads are getting fuel on them, try the mugen teflon ones. Sometimes for some reason this happens to me and I have learned to turn the atl dial on my transmitter up with my thumb while I drive. I alway tune the car so the brakes feel perfect at about 75% on the atl so I can move it up, using the knob on the car's linkage

Brake Fade???????
A lot of brake fade is caused thru the servo's getting hot, the brake throttle is the hardest working servo and if you try a 10kg and up high speed you will find you will never ever get that problem.

I don't use silicone tube to soften the initial braking effect. I use direct braking feel, but I set my EPA at the point where my car won't spin in middle cornering ( braking late ). I feel braking without silicone tubes produce consistency braking feeling through out the year. I'm using the coin type brake disc in my mtx4. I don't have braking problem for 30 minutes or 45 minutes racing. ( my problem is that my car becoming lousy to drive after 30 minutes. I have to ask my pitman to increase rear ride height, and that helps a bit ).
Throttle / Brake servo don't need fast response, some says it could choking the acceleration feel ( more air entering the carb faster than the fuel ).
