Hi fellow BMI's
Conversion nearly complete...
Only problem encountered.....Pullstart engine's don't fit...
Bump box here we come....
Hooked on what kit did you get...hope fully non pullstart....
RR kid i was running the hardcore but it's not in the same league.
Also recommend to use oem type battery pack saves a lot of grief
I also found futaba servo's a bit of a squeeze, throttle+brake servo mount needed a touch with a dremel

Thank's again gent's

I use the K- Factory Centax clutch. The gears are maybe alittle wider and you have to have about .040 end play in the clutchbell. The problem with mesh I had was second gear pinion was rubbing first gear spur. Not really a mesh problem. The mounts Jay made for me should cure the problems if anyone has trouble. I used Futaba 9303 Brake and Throttle servo and did'nt have to dremmel anything out on the chassis. I did have to space it up some so the wires fit the cut out in the chassis servo mount.
Hey xray, Real toy race cars don't use pullstart engines! LOL

The only major prob I have is the engine mounts. I have to tilt them to mesh right, but then the screw holes dont line up. But the mounts the protc3 will send me hopefully will solve the problem. I must say that the chassis looks AWESOME when everything is on it. The pics dont do it justice. you have to see it in person

protc3. you got mail

I want to make sure I am doing this right. On my controler I flipped my steering from reverse to normal. Otherwise since the steering servo is flipped it would go right when i steered left and vice versa. I kept the throttle the same

What engines have you guys been using with the chassis? Has anyone tried a MR12 and had any problems?

Sirrio 12 Smeltz mod, Richey MT Mugen RTO and RTU 12, and RB Concepts x12 5 port. All these engines take the same spacer on the engine for the K- Centax, thus they all work for me with the BMI engine mounts.

I was going to use the normal clutch, so the geniune AE mounts etc should work ok for the MR12?
