I doubt that. It will probably be quite durable.

Frank should comment on that one.....
and lets not get ahead of ourselves......all we are looking for is a stable platform that is competitive with the other TOP cars on the market....we have that..

it's up to us to put in the winners circle...(which I intend to do)..

Supra,you know youre getting one.

Maybe if we can get enough people to vote or speak their mind on requesting hex screws on the US/Japan kits they might listen
You know my vote

Frank:BTW, will your test crew be at CP tomorrow? I hope to see them there. I remember a few years back when Cliff Lett, Carson, and the gang were testing the proto-NTC3 with other brand cars too. You just never know who'll show up in CP.

All you guys are wanting hex head screws and I want my cars to come with Philips heads. I hate hex screws. They wear out too easy in my opinion and they always seem to go when you just get the screw all the way in.

Never had that problem with a Philips head. You just gotta use the correct size driver to put the screw in.

You'd be surprised how much things like "a set of hex" screws would cost if they were just tossed into the kits. Mold costs are very high and everything on this car is brand new. Remember all the pictures you are seeing are of a pre-production car - lots of testing still to go. Notice on the Pro 4 page we don't even list measurements because all that stuff can change before the car is released.

Thumbs up

Actually hex screws are rather cheat, and I will have to disagree with Modellor on this one Hex screws last a lot longer than philips. A box 100 hex screws is about $5-$6. And the high quality ones too.

Thanks,

The high quality ones are not so bad, I agree. But the cheap crap ones that comes on most cars these days make you really want to get the good quality Philips screws.

Default Hex Head vs Phillips Head screws

Guy;

I gotta say that it is nearly impossible to strip out the drive on a Phillips Head (with a good bit), short of using too much Loctite.
Allen Head drive on a Flat Head screw is VERY easy to strip due to the very small wrench size and I haven't seen them in a Binder Thread yet (for Plastic).
