Email Jim reeves directly(adress is there)....hes a good guy to deal with..

the fix really works...well worth the price..

Just go to a hobby shop that sells airplane stuff, or DuBro Products. Get some 1 1/2 inch 4-40 cap head screws, and some GS washers for countersunk flat head screws.

That's the fix.

theRED5 05-21-2003 06:56 PM

Oh and I forgot....

the DuBro 4-40's are about $1.99 and the GS washers are about $3.99 for 10

if you read through the last 15 pages of the nitro tc3 forum, you'll realize 3 dollars of Dubro screws ARE NOT the fix...they DO NOT lock both gearboxes together into a shouldered threaded screw going through the shock tower..

they are a cheap,inferior substitute...

I fail to see, when you have 600 dollars worth of RC car,why trying to save 20 dollars is such an issue.....

Also get a piece of 3/16th's steel tubing, brake line tubing is sold everywhere in 1ft lengths for about $2. Cut 2 pieces of tubing to about .800 in length, taper one end alittle so it will fit down tight on the diff cases threw the holes. Then install the screws and washers and it sure as hell is locked!!!!! With out the tubing, I guess Harry is right it's not locked.
SCREW THE FIX!!!!
Don't pay somebody for something he's copied from us!! Hell I was the first to designed the fix and turn everybody on to it here over a year ago!

read this up to page 127..(about 3 pages after)..

I use and recomend "the fix" he is a easy guy to deal with and it just works, no looking for parts and cutting tubing to fit, just remove four screws and replace with two "the fix" screws and then screw on the top pieces... very fast and easy to do... and it ties the tower the upper and lower diff case to the chassis, the other methods dont do this.

thank god...

Hi,

Does anybpdy have any pictures of how they did "the fix" on their ntc3? I can't seem to clearly picture what needs to be done.

Thanks
