Well when you put it like that, we should get some lawyers involved.. this is down right patent infringement.. LOL

80 in a 65 zone on the highway? Rule of law? I have nothing against JDesoto nor Ipanema but their not governing bodies.

This has obviously has turned into a bragging rights contest.

If this class is going to grow, some compromises will have to be made and other peoples voices will need to be heard, otherwise it will go no where. Thats my 2 cents.. probably not worth much.. I'm just a hobbyist and here to have fun.

Hope you guys figure it out.. best of luck.

The rules are the rules, plan and simple. What happens if you do 80 in a 65 zone on the highway? If a patrol officer sees you and clocks you, you get stopped for speeding because you are violating the rule of law. This is what jdesoto's posting and subsequent posts do, disrespecting the folks that have been making GT racing into what it is now and totally disregarding what has been established. That may sit fine with some, but for those that had and have been working hard at establishing GT into a viable and credible racing class with those that think it is just a passing fad and the r/c community as a whole, this is like a slap to their faces.
Really? I think all three of you guys need to take a chill pill and call your doctor in the morning.

Oh my Jlock strikes again...What are you talking about??? These type of comments from you and others are the destructive ones.

Jspeed was the one that got completely disrespectful first. All jdesoto said, I think, is there is no official sanctioning body for gt yet. Unless I am mistaken it is true that the only sanctioning bodies are IFMAR/Efra/Roar. The reason we have these governing bodies is to avoid these type of silly debates.

For the sake of the class, these personal attacks need to stop.

I'm glad that everyone agrees that arguing about the small stuff is stupid and not good for the class. Then of course everyone continues arguing about the small stuff.

DON'T be like the rock crawler guys - they killed their own class in two years. I know we're all smarter than that. Anyone that wants to argue, take it to email is what I would suggest. Otherwise, lets just relax and have a good time telling fish stories about our cars and do some bench racing. My car is faster than your car!!! Booooya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personal attacks, like the flaming posts you have done to me and don't even know me. How about keeping my name out of your mouth, for starters! I have and been more about GT racing than you will ever be. There are many that post their opinions, suggestions, and inputs here. You have contributed nothing to these postings other than singling me out to flame me. If you don't like what I have to say, just ignore it. You really don't have to comment on anything I post. I have just tried to get folks here to slow down a bit and try to evaluate, to think, to re-think, and to do the right thing for GT racing. Is that too much to ask?

Too many classes have been have gone by the wayside due to bad/poor decisions. GT racing doesn't need to go down that path. We, us GT racers, have a good thing going and need to keep it going forward in a positive direction. Ipanema has added a new class (GT-3 electric) and a new race (GT Nationals) with possibly more coming down the pipe in the future. Even ROAR is working on adding GT to its long list of racing classes. We have the momemtum on our side and lets keep GT moving onward and upward.

Really cool videos, we need more like that, maybe put into a documentary like the Carpet Racers video that is currently out now. Interviews and video from all the different venues that race/run GT cars with some interviews from various racers. Hmmm!!
