Is this Ira Schulz? How's it going man. Remeber me (Ed) from the Texas Biggie and/or the Nationals a couple of years ago in Rendon Texas? You pitted my MTX3 for me.
Sounds like your are coming to Houston for the Nats. You'll have a great time at this track, it is a world class facility.
I was there this weekend running a few practice laps and the track feels very good. There were several reports not long ago of high tire wear, but yesterday I found the track with very good traction (even though the track surface was not prepped) and the tire wear was very reasonable. I did not measure it, but I was able to run through several fuel tanks with an old set of tires and foam to spare....It is looking good.
Pit tables for the Nats..... the facility can easily hold over 150 racers, each with its own table and electricity, so securing a pit table will not be a problem if you do not mind the table location. The key is to make your reservation early so you can get a table close to the drivers stand/pit area. To make your reservation, call Jeff Parker at Mike's Hobby (800) 724-5386.
look forward to seeing you again next month!
