is the gear that comes with the yokomo kit the same that you can buy from associated or do i need to order a gear from yokomo to replace the one i stripped today at the track.

The associated gear fits but you have to use a reamer to make the hole a little bigger to fit through the larger bearing housing. The yokomo uses the larger 6mm bearing so the housing has to be bigger.

does anyone know where can i get the bigger gear at?

Dilinle: The supposedly harder front one way gear has the same part number as the original: #1732. Associated also
now supplies the 12 mm shims to shim the one way against the
pinion gear and the 10x15 bearings that have the outer aluminum
spacer to fit where the original 3/8 x 5/8 bearings used to be.
The part numbers for these are 1733 and 1731. The only place
I have been able to find these in the past few weeks is at
Elite Hobbies in West Covina, CA...www.elitehobbies.com
