Ryan, is there no importer for Motonica in Australia?

Oktober- I am trying to figure out what is going on with the motonicausa site. Please note that this site was not the official importer website. I'll post more info here as soon as I have something.

Well then parts support should be no problem in Australia.

Garen,

What mid shaft pulley do you suggest 25 or 26??? The side belt is pretty snug with the 26 and the front belt in the soft position.

Garen,

The set screw in the middle of the rear rollbar assy...the one that I guess is supposed to put pressure on the shaft...wont put enough pressure to stop the shaft from sliding through the aluminum part. Did you have this same issue?

The 26t pulley is the standard pulley to use. Build the car with the middle setting on the front belt.

I have not had the problem you describe with the rear sway bar mount. Does the shaft slide even when you have the set screw completely tightened down?

if the screw if firmly tighten and you still get problems you can solve this by putting a collar (linkage stopper) on each side......

Hi Ryan, as far as the car being tough, Ive driven them all and IMO this is the most durable. Now on any car they all give up somewhere in a crash so theres no car that will never break something. You can put the optional parts this car(not that its needed) and steghthen an already tough car. The dealer here in the US is Garen H who can be reached very easy on this forum. Hope this helps your decision some.

Ryan, the new P8.0R 2008 as it is officially being called will be available very soon. I was set to have some in stock but there was a delay, so I am hoping my next shipment will have both the upgrade kits and car kits. I will post info here as soon as I have a firm date. In the meantime, please PM me with your email address and I'll send you more info.

Durability wise, any car will break if you hit something hard enough. The car is pretty durable. In 2 races (6 total track days) I have broken 1 front body mount plate, and 1 front shock shaft (when my receiver pack dumped and I lost the signal), worn out 1 front belt, replaced 2 axle bearings, and replaced 1 clutch shoe. I also broke a plastic servo horn but that was not a Motonica part, so overall the car is pretty durable and chances are you are not going to be replacing a whole lot of parts, especially if you stay off the boards.
