It should say how long the entire shock should be... And according to this, you can get both of them the same height... I dont think that Mugen manual stipulates how long the shaft length has to be, others do...

1. Dun remember seeing it in the manual saying how long it should be. But i think as long as the end of your ball joints cover the threaded portion of the shaft would be sufficent. If you are particular, just make sure the the rebound distance is about the same when you are done with the shock building.

2. This depends on what is your track width settings. Stock setting would 199mm front and 200 mm rear. You would just need to adjust till it the same for the left and right but still within the track width.

For servo horns, try to find a smaller aluminum horn for the steering so it doesn't rub the upper deck. I think Futaba makes one that fits (check earlier in the thread to be sure). Shouldn't need anything special for the throttle/brake

Thanks i have no thread showing and i have used vernier caliper to make sure they are all about the same. I hope this will be ok, will now more when i put it on the tweak station later this week i guess.

As long as you have all the thread showing and have measured the shock lengths to make sure that they are equal lengths from left to right, once you set it up with the setup station, you should be sweet!!
Also make sure that you use the correct shalfts for the front and rear, as they are different lengths!

the mugen site has stock setup sheets as well as race sheets from team drivers. if u want more, go to the mugen forum and look in the onroad threads.

18/24-52/58 for qualifiers


18/24-54/59 for mains( used bigger tires for the main)

qual tires where trued to 59 rears and 57 fronts


main tires where at 59f and 61R

Looking for a good part number for the small alluminum nut that tightens the belt tensioner bearing. HO294 is no longer a valid part number????
