Gashuffer, I'd try and make the front swaybar harder on high bite tracks. I don't play with the rear that often.

Pooh, I had the blades vertical. I removed the set screws in my sway bars and that helped a little. That was my first time at rev's and I took 1 in novice A. that place rules

Default downstop question

hello
im trying to get a good starting point on my car
i race at a high grip vht prepped track with a long sweeper and some short tight turns.

when i set the downstops up with the fctory setup of 0 front and 9 rear the car has huge amounts of droop, so much that the springs loosen from the shock.

im running my tires 1mm smaller than the standard. what do you guys have your downstops set at? with the stock setup the car understeered like mad on throttle

Gashuffer,

I'd recommend using the sway bar on the car... Not using it seem to help but you may also find the car not rotating around the corners nicely... It will almost seem like its "Squaring up" as oppose to having smooth corner rotation.

We were at Rev this past Sunday too. Please come and see us so we may help you under those conditions. My name is Ron and I was pitting with Mike Strack. Our cars ran pretty well with no Traction Rolling Problems (provided we stay away from the burms, ofcourse )...

As soon as we have an Editable PDF File, we would be able to post full set ups..

We should be there again on March 11th.
See ya!

BTW, good job getting 1st in the A.... especially for your first time out there!
The Airtronics Race should be a good one !

MY car is the same way. I thought it was too much also but it handles very well at box setup. Just try it.

thanks quietstorm

so you set the ride height and droop as per the setup sheet?

i found that when checking droop it lifts so much that the spring comes looe from the shock. im more or a touring car driver but im new to 1:8 this just seamed weird

Mike Swauger - Is your setup for the MRX4R posted anywhere?

I race here in St Louis with Drew and the rest of the crew at Evolution. Trying to get the car ready for the season and wanted to completely rebuild the car. Thanks for the help.
