When they go in the car there tight. After a run they will have some slack in them. I believe both of my eccentrics are in the middle position rubber belts. Are you having troubles?

Stock setting, which is the least amount of tension, after a few runs you can increase the tension.
i have tried to start with the tighter setting but i found my belts were stripping out faster.
i think they need a little slack to absorb the sudden shock from quick starts or punching the throttle out of a turn.
good luck!!

I am new to racing... I usually have this belts on stock setting(loose). I noticed that after a couple of race, my rear belt loses a teeth or more and noticebly more slack. it does not matter what kind of belt. I tried the Kawahara kevlar and Mugen Rubber to no avail. maybe the kawahara pulleys? I will try the middle setting and hopefully it will loosen up a little coz now it has a little bind. we will see..
thanks for the advise.

Start with the middle setting. I have this to be a very good balance. The belt is a little tight, but not to the point of slowing down your drivetrain.

Also, this may sound crazy, and i mean no offense, but triple check that those eccentric rings are set the same. I know while rushing to change a front belt before my next heat i have put my front end together only to find that one side was at a setting different from the other. This will without question strip belts.

I agree with Lil Paul. I've been running the middle setting since the R came out. No problems and the drivetrain rolls freely.

No offense taken... I see your point. I will make sure that those ring are set in the same position(middle)

Well all done with the conversion. Everything went together pretty well. I'll be racing this weekend to test it out.

I always set the belts in the middle..... seems to work best for me. They loosen up after a few runs and I usually need to change them before they get too loose. It saves time swapping them to the middle where they'll be after a few runs anyways.

I like the rubber belts. I've never had a problem with them.

Pooh's right. The rubber belts free up the drivetrain a ton and last for plenty of runs. One thing I do to assure their lifespan is check my pulleys after every run for pebbles or debris. And stay away from dusty or dirty tracks too.

Ran the R today and all I can say is ............Believe the Hype

Better corner entry speed, better exit speed, faster direction changes and rotates very easy without stepping out in the rear. Last time I felt that much difference in a car was when I went from the MRX3 to the MRX4.

Pooh thanks for the setup dude. It was on point, one or two tweaks and it was dialed.
