James broke his car in the warmup but 6 minutes wasn't enough time to repair it. James qualified in 3rd for the 1/8 A Main. Sorry James, I had to start the race without you. We'll see you all next year for the 4th Annual Can-AM Challenge. Bill, thanks for arranging our Hooters girls!

Congratulations to Steve Bortolotti who won both the 45 Minute 8th A Main with his Mugen but also the 45 Minute 10th 200mm Nitro Sedan A Main at the 3rd Annual CAN AM Challenge. I finished 2nd in the A with my DELTA with Chris Bramford with his Kyosho in third. Lots of very fast cars in the A with numerous personal best laps. More details when the J Lap results are posted. I believe Steve also set a new 8th Scale Track Record. Lou Vanderway won the 8th scale Pole Position. I predicted a new winner at the Challenge, and it was Steve who I had in mind, after his B Main finish at the Great Lakes Challenge earlier this month. Watch out for this guy and his Dad.

Raye Fossil Field won the B Main with his Kyosho and Chuck McKinley took the C Main with his Delta. There was a great battle in the B Main with numerous lead changes including NATE who ran really well. Bill McLean was flying as well.

Howard Cho won the 10th OPEN ROAR Class with his Team Magic Car, setting a new class record as well. Jordan Krupp finished 2nd with Gary Swayze in third.

I'll list the B and C Sedan results soon.

The CAN AM CHALLENGE will be on OLN TV in November.

Saturday was rained out, however we had 2 rounds of qualifying and amazingly competitive mains today.

The Traction in the Mains was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was a great day of racing, the track was stuck, the cars were fast and the weather was just perfect for spending the whole day outside.
Everyone seemed to be having a good day, even if they broke like say a ball cup and bulkhead, but other than that, superb racing.

Huge thanks to Gary for hosting the race, and I cant wait for the 4th annual Can Am Challenge next year, hopefully more Can, and a lot more Am will show up to make it an even better event than it already is.

The B Main was one of the most enjoyable and exciting race I have ever had
after have a blow over on the back strech and droping to 4th, then coming back to lead and swaping the lead a few times was alot of FUN.

Thanks to Gary and Julie for organising the dinner Sat night.

Thanks to the Hooter Girls Sasha (Blonde) and Megan (Brunette) for providing a little more incentive to achieve a podium finish. Hope to see them again next year. Also thanks for flaging the start of the A Main, thought we might have a big pile up in first corner as the cars went by, but the A main drivers kept their focus. LOL
