What ever you do not waste your money on an RTR as you will be spend a lot more money than you would if you just spent the money to build your own nitro setup. These cars dont allways have the right parts to run period. Find the kit you want build it install your pick or nitro engine and your radio system. You will be better off

I would very much like the tlr kit but its just too expensive at the moment for me to get into.

You can also look at the FOR SALE section here on RC Tech, there are a lot of great deals on used equipment which I think is still a step above RTR grade.

welcome to the forums GoombaTrooper.
I too would suggest a kit, normally, however in todays day and age RTR is a viable option. I just couldn't see myself spending that much at the moment because we were saving for a house so I went with the RTR. I can tell you, its the most capable RTR out there currently. If you get serious about racing you can do a few key upgrades and along with plenty of track time, you can place yourself on the podium. I actually did a write up on the RTR here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...2016-17-a.html Let me know If I can be of anymore help. |
