The X shocks are compatible, and the 4mm shafts will work on previous models. Either remove the material that secures the cups or use the tapered cups. If evo setup use the 15mm cups and previous Shaft ends.

X inner hinge pins are 66mm and are compatible not sure about the rear outer pins. Wheel hexes and pins including the XT are the same. The XT uses +4 rear hexes and +2 front hexes.

Rear wings but not the mount

X shock standoffs are basically the same as a 8ight 2.0, Use X bushings thou.

Turnbuckles, rod ends, and ball links will work as a whole set thou the links are the same.

1st question- Do you guys run the universals or the CV shafts?
2nd question- will the 3.0 aluminum front spindles fit the universals for the 4.0?
If you are going to run the front universals, you will need the front spindles for the universals tlr344006

I just recently went all universals and offset the rear of my E thou bought the tlr tuning kit to upgrade both my 8ights at the same time.

My 8ight nitro started off at 3.0 level with some 2.0 drive line parts and all is now updated and upgraded to a 4.0 ultralite with a set of 4.0 16mm shocks and all new 4.0 suspension.

Only the kingpins are 3.0 now and the 2.0 outdrives Still have no notches so ‘not’ going to replace those. I used standard shock pistons from my scte flr the 4.0 spindle spacing.

While converting my 8ight nitro to a new platform ‘ultralite’ it seems that the center driveline has significatly less dogbone play in the outdrive <—> and am extremely concerned about this. I tried the dog in the tuning kit and a new bone is worse but the same length of the old one. No additional spacing has been added and am using stock bearings on my nitro.

Is this normal? I can flex it enough by hand and both the rear and front dogs bottom out in the outdrive, put my 2.0 center drives back on and there is slightly more clearance. Do I need to use a 87.5mm bone in the front and use the 92mm in the back? Instead of what looks like 92.5mm and 95.5mm.

Using 8B Nitro 3.0 Lightened pinion couplings and dogbones before the upgrade.

Great ad!
I'd bet you have a bright future in advertising or sales.
Good luck on your sale.

I don’t know what the crap is going on in this THREAD so I guess I’ll just reply to the guy with dog bone issues, your problem is your running 8(X!) length bones in your 4.0 if u have 87mm. The bones needed for the 4.0 front does not have the length printed on the bone. I have anything u could need for the 2.0 3.0 4.0 and x. However the bones have gone wack and at this point I don’t remember the exact length but it sounds like u 1 are running the lightweight chassis with your back clip forward, if so u need the specific bone for the shorter rear end length, I have 3 but would need to find them if this is the case to measure the length. Now upfront, if you ordered the front bones for the 4.0 you may need to check length as these parts were updated over and over and at this point you could have any of 4 different available bones universals cvd. Your best bet is take a picture of the center front and rear bones in the car and then measure them. Post it. I can measure my bones and figure out what’s going on.

I will look into measuring the centerline and get pics if possible. I did get a few different bones in and am about to see if they work. I totally see what you are talking about and am able to track three different lengths for the front.. however there are so many bones. Yes my nitro has forward braces and has the right rear bone now.

Thank you your time and posting.

2-56 x 1/8" - no TLR dont sell them seperate. Not a high demand part.

Do a search on eBay for that size. You will find a 50 pack of bhcs 2-56 x 1/8 selling for $8.00 and free shipping.

Shimmed only to show where the dog bone needed to be to match the wear patterns, thickness of a flanged bearing.
I got one of those darn boots on the rear and am not willing to remove it at the moment
