If you have not heard, CEN Racing will be releasing a new 1/8 Buggy in 2008 - The Rematrix. It will be a new version of the Matrix, lighter and stronger. All of the new parts will fit the current Matrix if you want to upgrade it.

Both Q's have no answer yet, it is to soon. I am sure the buggy will be slightly more money and there will only be a conversion if there is a demand for it. It should be out in 8-12 months from now per Smolnik.

So that's why I see so many people dumping their Matrix FREs in the "For Sale" section. Anyways its still a good buggy. And upgradeable to the new one when it comes out? Thats what I call support.

Indeed! Have invested quite a bit to spare parts and after market diffs (from BBF) for instance so this is important for me as well! Good job guys!

Following team CEN USA's fantastic finishes at this year's worlds warmup held at the Farm 2, Carlotte USA, despite difficult conditions, Andy Smolnik and Gene Hickerson made the final with heavily modded CEN Matrixs (matrices?!) We caught up with CEN and we can exclusively reveal some details about the new CEN Re-Matrix due for Spring/Summer 2008 release in time for the Worlds in September.

Some of the key new features include -
- Lighter drivetrain
- Material changes? (areas lightened and toughened)
- One piece radio tray
- Emphasis of easy of maintenance and working on the car
- No E-clips!
- New Lighteweight parts, including stiffeners
- New body design
Lots more stuff!


The new body is needed! The stocker is like a lexan box!

That was a very unfortunate race for me. 1st lap I flipped in the whoop section while in 3rd. The turn marshall had to wait because of all the traffic to flip me over. Then, I crashed two more time on my first lap. lmao Good grief.

The leaders were already lapping me after the 1st lap. The 12th place buggy was 1/2 a track ahead. Talk about low moral after one lap. So I just drove the rest of my race and caught quite a few people, but could have done MUCH better.
