Looks like a refinement, which is perfectly ok. But I think TLR alienates potential customers by not having all metric hardware. It would prevent me from buying one. Metric is just easier, especially if you keep everything using 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5mm drivers. As much as we have to work on these things anything that makes wrenching easier is better.

To swap it over to metric ( in a kit form) would be a lot of work. Screws, nuts, bolts, re-machining of metal parts that accept the screw/bolt...

If you feel alienated because you need 2 additional drivers ( the 2mm works with 80% of the hardware, BTW) then I don't know what to say.... Plenty of other good cars out there that have metric hardware.

I don't see what the problem is with either. As long as they don't fall out, who cares...

I guess the next debate will be " why wont the car drive itself!!!"

The standard vs metric argument makes as much sense as the presidential arguments about NFL fantasy league in last nights debate....it don't mean squat!

I'm anxious for the full release....want see all the specs....I'm sure it will be killer!!

Well though I haven't had one that long, moving the center dif 8e to the drivers side slightly, 1/4 inch, to remove some of the front shaft angle wasn't a huge stretch. I even thought of modding the mount holes on mine to do this. I'm also curious about the longer arms. Lol mine has a 2.0 chassis and arms, with a 2.0 gas buggy camber link setup, heavier tighter ends, with a 15 degree frt caster setup like a 3.0, dogbones all four corners. I bet I can find something on the 4.0 that will work with it lol. FrankenLosi!

Extra tools and fractions are turn offs

But, that's how they roll. Interested in what neobuggy said about rear arms!

Anyone know what the major upgrades are in the 4.0?

this^. dont really want to drag it out any further because i really dont care for this car...but in support of the few local guys around here that really really like it and want to drive losi cars...it really isnt easy to find imperial tools anywhere outside of the US...so your tools become a special order thing too and no borrowing tools from fellow racers on raceday...im sorry you arent sticking my nice 2mm in your almost-the-same fractional screw head.

I get it from a global stand point but I'd guess that most of the guys on here upset about SAE hardware don't live outside of the US. Maybe in the next version but until it hinders sales I don't think they will change it.
