No the motor only ran around 2 seasons in 2005-2006 and sat for 8 years!

It was seized when I tried to turn the motor over by hand at the beginning of this year. I used fuel and let it soak in the engine to loosen it up. Took it apart and cleaned it up before the race a couple of weekends back.

So after the fruastration of not being able to run, I took the carb off the new in pkg P5X motor and put it on the one in the car, thinking bad orings or something. Still did not run, then changed the exhaust port and pipe gaskets (the one between muffler and manifold pipe) and the motor ran fine. Then changed back to the motor's own carb and still runs fine.

Just wow. Never thought the motor wouldn't need a complete rebuild of bearings and orings. The piston and sleeve and conrod are still quite good.

So it was just the exhaust related silicon gaskets.
