Carson Wernimont.. dropped by AE

I highly doubt it was due to his performance as a racer. He has been pretty much in the top 10 at every major race since PNB last year. It doesn't say anything about a breech of contract, so I would think he wasn't meshing well with others on the team and/or management....but that's just an assumption. Guess we will need to hear the whole story.
Great driver and good guy. Wish him luck. I don't think it will be too long before someone else picks him up.

I wonder where he will wind up. Carson was doing really well in 1/10 since joining AE in addition to the 1/8 success. I wonder if he is going for a company with a full off-road lineup or multiple chassis sponsors to cover all the classes.

Could that article have been anymore vague? Yeah, hearing "the whole story" would be nice. Being that it's a contract, I imagine there would have to be some compensation to Carson if the breaking of it wasn't mutual (which it doesn't sound like based on the vague article) and if there wasn't some clause in the contract about. ... never mind, the content of that article is nonsense.

"I'd like to thank Team Associated for honoring my request to terminate my contract. I am looking forward to pursuing new opportunities and partnering with a company that is interested in utilizing both my development and driving skills. I'm excited about what the future holds and will continue to represent all my sponsors to my fullest ability!" That's what he posted on FB.

well, maybe he fancied himself as an "engineer" and a "developer", and AE didn't listen or value his input.
There are some drivers that give "engineering/develop" input that the designers don't like, for example they ask for something not worthwhile, something that won't improve the car, but sounds fancy. I've heard this from a designer.
In which case it could be as simple as him getting upset that they didn't want to do whatever he demanded be done to the car, and then asking for them to release him.
"I want 17 more holes on the shocktower, that'll make the car so much more awesome"

You're really jumping to conclusions there. If you've been at any of the big races lately, you would understand why this went down. It was obvious 3-4 months ago...

Did you perhaps miss the word "maybe"?
Please supply us with the explanation for this as you clearly seem to have it, Mr. Adragna.
