i also noticed the radio tray has a lot of flex even when the servo EPA is set correctly for both throttle and steering servos. On the losi M2c made small piece of aluminum that ran from the tray to the cetner diff that really helped stop the flexing which would cause inconsistent braking and servo issues. I think the d815 and d8t would benefit from a similar brace, Ill message Mitch and see what he thinks.

Longer screws to control the flex is a great idea! It never occurred to me that the radio tray flexing was causing inconsistent braking, but totally makes sense. Regardless I think the stock brakes feel really good as is, but I'm going to give the longer screws a try. What does FHSCS stand for?

I have a few questions i'm on the east coast and not many HB guys that i know around like one anyway the tracks i race are medium to lose grip are the plastic inserts the best in the rear or should i use the graphite ones i've got em if needed.Second the Trifecta wing do u need to vent it and what does it really do if u do. Last the buggy seemed a little loose in the rear last week the buggy is not fully broke in yet only one race day on it the stock set up is on it i haven't changed anything but its super hot n humid here right now and was gonna try 35 oil in the front instead of 32.5 car felt a bit soft in front and maybe ill get a bit more rear grip? Thank u !

I'm building the front gear case, when putting in the pinion does it matter if I put one or both of those thin shims behind the pinion and bearing? It seems whether I put on one or both the mesh is really gritty. I put grease on the gear, do they just have to break in?

Is that a mistake in the manual?

Gavel step f-03 shows the spacer 114762 behind part 114743. I have two of those shims. If I put both behind 114743 will i be alright? Thanks for your help...

Never mind i didn't see the other shim going on the outside of the case.

At Socket and TrickyMick- thanks.
My thoughts on the rear insert are that if your track is really loose and no groove forms (thereby never developing grip) you could probably run the plastic inserts in the rear arm. If you have medium grip you for sure want the graphite inserts. With the plastic insert the arm is relatively flexible. When in a turn and the forces start acting on the arm, the arm will bend to a point like a spring then unwind and cause the handing to be inconsistent. I don't know for a fact that that is exactly what is occurring, but that's how it feels to me. With the graphite inserts the arm is stiffer and therefore can't bend like a spring and so the handling is more consistent.
As for the wing, Youtube Ty Tessmann Trifecta. He explains it all.
You can definately bump up the oil in the shocks in hotter weather. What is / was the temperature there? 1.3x6's?
Rear grip is going to come from how u have your rear suspension geometry set up.
