Default Decision time (1/8 buggy)

I was set to purchase a X3 Sabre but it looks like they are not around.Looking for opinions between the Agama A215 and the Hot Bodies d812. The reason why I have landed on these two is because they seem to be reasonably priced for what you get. The Agama a215 just came out so I know parts support will be a little slim for a bit, but this kit will have the latest and greatest design. d812 has been out a bit and a new model looks to be right around the corner but the parts support seems really good. I want to go new because I want to be able to build the kit myself. I'll only be using / racing this at my local track, not around the neighboorhood. I have a old Ofna that I can bash around the neighborhood. Looking for advice here. Thank you!

i would say an mbx7r, you can order it from tower and save like $50 with a coupon. I have had hotbodies cars and they are not the quality that the mugen is.

If money is no option I would say go losi.

You can contact Michael Hunt from Ace Auer Hobbies in Ohio and he will get you the best price and ship to your door

I would also say mugen if the money is there. Losi isnt a bad choice either. Really kinda hard to find a new bad car. Almost all are good ones. I am a mugen fanboy so I might be a tad biased toward a mugen

Thank you. I will call him. I'm in Cleveland and don't live too far away from there.

Edit: also my funds will be available on the 13th of this month. I won't call anyone until I have money ready to go.

I agree if you have the money a Mugen MBX 7R would be my choice. Then the D812. My next buggy would an MBX 7R.

Buy what is popular and available at your local track. If everyone drives a mugen....then buy mugen. If Xray, you get the idea.

Seriously, Having a vehicle that you can get local parts and help with is monumental!

The hobby shops in my area only really stock traxxas but did say they can get me whatever. I can order it myself so it doesn't really matter which brand I get cause local support isn't there.

According to the HB D8 12 thread there will be a new car soon so I wouldn't buy the D8 12 at this moment in time.

Check out the Tekno NB48.
I run the Mugen MBX7 and Tekno NT48, my next buggy will be NB48 or the new associated buggy whenever it comes out... Lol!

I'm hoping to make a purchase by the end of the month at the latest. I see the Tekno NT48 but looks like it's been out for a bit. Trying to get as new a release as possible I suppose. What's your take on the 2 buggies?

Out of those two I would go D812 very easy to drive and durable plus comes with aluminum F/R hubs
Just order the V2 radio tray I think it's $14
Having said that the D812 has been out longer than the NB48 I think, and there is a new HB car coming out.
