My friend that did the swap said it helped out alot for him.
This is my turn just getting back with the Kyosho after about a 2yr break from racing. I got a Losi 8ight and raced for about 4mos(total of 5 races IIRC) and the decided to go back to the Kyosho.
I went 55wt(Trinity) in front and 40wt(Trinity) in rear. The rear does feel abit more dampened so I will try the other pistons as recommended down the road.

Ran the Cody King set up this weekend with minor tweaking.
5F 6C 2.5R
55W Trinity Front Shock
40W Trinity Rear Shock
TQ'd and won the main. For my style, I like the Kyosho over the Losi 8ight.
Had real good turn and was pretty stable.
I like the WC edition with the Big Bore shocks.
Got it all cleaned up and new fluids again to be ready for RC Pro Series in two weekends.

In Europe (Denmark to be specific) the Kyosho Big Bores are very expensive. Therefore alot use the big bores from Nanda. They fit perfectly and according to all the people I've heard, work just as well. The Nanda big bores are 1/4 the price of the Kyosho's in Denmark. Happy Hunting.

The new universals are lighter than the orignal universals, the front will rub at times, there really is'nt much clearance. They are also much stronger than the orignal universals. Chrome moly.

RUBBING
if i dont need to change the uni's i wont i mean sheeesh the shock kits themselves are expensive,so can anyone confirm they wont hurt if u dont change your universals out back and front?????

I have had mine hit just a little on the spring, the backs are fine, with all thats said about the big bores and the universals, the big bores will make a ton of difference over the stock originals, besides the universals being lighter, it's less rotating mass, which in turn will be less weight, more responsive, stronger, and they sure look bitchen also.
