Thanks for the info guys. I talked with a manager at towerhobbies and she was super awesome. They are going to take back the HPI and I'm going to get the x3. There was so much slop in the rear it was throwing the back right dog bone out of the car on a hard left with quick acceleration.
Just seems like a overpriced pile to me

I will save you the waiting time.
I have the X3 and it is an awesome buggy out of the box. With a few minor tweaks the buggy is dialed and competes with anything else out there.
I have had mine for what seems to be 2 years and really have no complaints about the buggy.
Check the X3 thread. If you have any questions post them there. There are some really fast and knowledgeable guys on there.
Also if your looking to buy one, I think the x3 is listed for around 299 right now at Nitrohouse.
