Havent had a leaky diff in other car i have owned... followed the manual to the letter in the xray. But i am still at fault? Ok then... most people i know that have the xb8, 1 being extremely meticulous with his gear also has the problem.

I have 2 hours of track time on my diffs, just pulled them apart yesterday and all three are perfectly full. If i can do it, anyone can do it. Its all about the quality and quantity of grease you use on the outdrive and O-rings.

Losi Oring grease has almost no pressure resisting strength so it blows out easily.
I have my own white lithium based grease, its a high temp high pressure, made specifically for output shafts with oil retention. It simply doesnt blow out if the oring happens to fail. Due to RCT rules i am not allowed to self advertise my product for sale, so feel free to PM me for further details on ordering if interested.

Not every white lithium is created equal. Bench mark being Mugens premium grease, which is a lithium base. I have tried dozens and found one that preformed very close to the mugen premium, except it doesn't cost $15 for a tablespoons worth. Most i have tried didn't hold up to pressure.

you can use a setup system to get a number.. however.. you just add or move shims from behind or in front of the upper front arm.

Yes, I understand that you measure using a setup system. But my question what do you measure. With the angle of the XB8’16 STEERING BLOCK to what do you subtract anything?

Below is a picture of my setup:

is it 20 - 30%

The manual will tell you what degree each setting is of caster is, depending on where you have the inserts and caster clips and wheelbase shims

Check the manual for detailed info
