So an XRAY driver told me that on the 23 XB8 that he is dremelling the inside by servo saver post on diff cases to get more steering? Anyone heard this? I looked really close at my car and dont see any reason to do that. When steering is turned to each direction it doesnt hit the diff case. Just looking for thoughts. Thanks

On some cars the servo saver hits the radio box. Minor trimming for clearance gives a bit more epa adjustment, without weakening the part.

Its no big deal.

I’m considering a brand switch to Xray.

Im currently running a tekno 2.1 and have not run another make (or model for that matter) before so fancy trying something else.

Do they release new nitro and electric each year? And are we due one this side or at the end of the year?

New ones should be out April/May. They generally release a new kit every year, but it isn't entirely necessary to upgrade every year. We are still running 21's. 22 upgrades were insignificant(for us), 23's had some good changes, but our kits were still new enough. Now they are pretty clapped out and the new kits can't come soon enough, lol.

The beauty of running the xray platfom for both nitro and electric is the layouts are very similar. If you make a change to one, it will translate to the other. I know the tekno's have drastically different layouts between the nitro and ebuggy.

I would like to chime in and simply agree with above. New kits might come each year but it’s minor changes. The same exact part might be in a 15001 bag last year and 15002 bag this year. Same part, new number. I’m pretty sure I have parts from 2019 thru 2023 on my 2020 buggy.

Only a very few parts will transfer that far. If you find a 2016-2024 most parts will change around.

Does anyone have an idea for a setup for a very low grip tight technical track for the XB823? Tried the Basic Pivot Ball setup, change the diffs to 10,12,6 still have a ton of on power understeer.
