Part of me wants everyone to jump on the tekno band wagon but part of me doesn't.
people would automatically want one as soon as they drive one I don't think I'll be letting any one drive it haha

I'm trying the serpent center diff this coming weekend.Wider teeth should hold up better.Kinda have to take your time to shim it because you have to use tekno out drives .

We have 9 of them in stock also. (But support your local shop) Tekno didn't think they would sell that fast. They will be well stocked soon.

Its a great tuning option but why do you need it "urgently" did your stock one break? If its simply for tuning, I am sure we can help you get the desired effect you are looking for in the interim or until you get it. I actually took mine off, I run them on my buggies but didn't feel the need for it on my truggy.

In stock now buddy but yes limited numbers

Nice find on the L shaped servo horn cool

Graham11 10-14-2014 02:00 PM

A few different companies offer the L shaped horn that will work. Protek being one obviously and JQ has one that is actually almost a better fit

I tried the JQ servo horn and it's not a good fit. Cause one side of the arm steps up and it puts the linkage at an awkward angle. Also the arms are shorter. The Protek servo horn holes line up perfectly with the Tekno horn, and the linkages are at there correct angles.

Been running the ProTek horns for a while now. They work great, but the two
clamping screws end up in an odd location for removal. I marked the linkage
rod for the brakes so I can return the collar to the same location and take the
linkage off from there.

Can you make close-up pics of your fuel filter linkage? What brand of filter do you use? Where did you put mounting bracket?

Mo Denton 10-15-2014 03:45 AM

I always unscrew the brake linkage at the horn so my servo horn never comes off the servo.

Yup thats how I do it too, a lot easier to disassemble everything.

Regarding the filters, my understanding is that the clunk in the gas tank is the filter so I don't know if you need an additional fuel filter but I could be wrong.

I think the main reason a lot of people put an inline fuel filter on is because it increases the fuel capacity a little.

Hmm interesting. I wonder how much capacity you really gain though, and why not just run extra fuel line?

They also run extra fuel line as well. A regular club race nobody really cares, a sanctioned race there are rules that regulate that kind of stuff. Everyone that races nitro seems to be obsessed with fuel mileage. I'm not a racer due to work and very young kids right now. In a couple years when my son is old enough to race, I'll probably get into it. For now I'm just bashing my RC8T around my property with a nitro guzzling LRP ZR .30X!

Fuel mileage can be the difference between winning and losing in a 40 minute main but theres lots of ways to gain mileage but adding a filter wouldn't be my first thought but to each his own

And if there running a illegal car for club racing then that's not going to prove anything at all , even if they win they cheated

Run the correct lengths and get them tested that way if and when you race a bigger events your car and mirage should be the same as club level event.

Fuel not need on these buggys as the clunk tank works fine if your up side down.

I couldn't agree more. If it's a sanctioned or club race it should be the same.
