Hi Everyone, I recently picked up a Kyosho Mad Crusher and really like it, but I want something that handles better. The truck is great fun but it really doesn't handle. I've been away from nitro RC for a while(been playing with 1/5 scale)

I'm looking at truggys and the NT48.3 came up. I have a few questions I hope you can help me with:
1. If i just want to have fun on my farm and not race, would this kit be overkill?
2. Will it accept a pull start engine like the KE25?
3. For my purposes, would I be better off with a simple RTR like the the Inferno Neo ST Race spec 2?

Thanks!

Ofc its not overkill but its the best choise if u buy any kit of all brand.dont buy rtr car cause u will pay all time broken parts.u can add any engine u want

Could anyone tell me the length of the kit rear center dogbone? Pin center to pin center.

thanks

Could someone please measure the width of the chassis from side guard to side guard?

“The NT48.3 and ET48.3 have become known as some of the best handling and most durable trucks on the market. Since their release over five years ago, both trucks have won numerous races around the world, and the ET48.3 is the 2019 ROAR National Champion.

As you might have heard, Tekno RC is actively developing new 1/8th scale trucks based on the 2.0 platform. As we speak, the trucks are going through aggressive testing to ensure they live up to the high standards the NT48.3 and ET48.3 have set. One of our priorities has always been not to use our customers as "beta" testers, and we want to make sure the trucks are as good as they can be before release.

We thank you for making our trucks your first choice to run in your backyard or on the track, and although the trucks are a little delayed, we are confident our next generation NT48 and ET48 will live up to and surpass your expectations. We anticipate the new ET48 will be available for purchase in February or March 2021, and the NT48 will be shortly after.

Thank you to our friends over at JConcepts for the photo!”

If the new truck is out there being ran by team drivers, it would be cool if Tekno would put the new truck on their website. Even if it won’t be available for awhile, it would be cool to be able to check it out.

I'm sure thats coming soon. Tekno generally don't put the product info pages up until its close to launch. They're pretty good at announcing, and making product available almost immediately...But then Covid, and China new year kinda messed up everyone...

I'm sure I've asked in one of these threads already but I'm going to ask again. What are the weak points on the NT for bashing? Heard the diffs and spur gears wear out. Trying to decide if I should wait on the next kit or buy the 8T.

dunno about the diffs and spurs wearing out on the previous NT 48 variations, but I do know that the NB 48 2.0 has larger/stronger diff gears and so will the new NT 48 2.0. Hope that helps 😎

What were the weak points on the last truggy?

Edit: Just found the thread. It was the outdrive wearing out and the driveshafts breaking.

I ran the truck at Nationals. I ran a very similar setup per Joe's Holiday Hangover setup, and it was very good https://wwwcdn.teknorc.com/wp-conten...ver%202020.jpg

One Note from the manual, maybe of help : Note: The steering stops provide adjustable travel limiters to control overall steering throw. For all but the tightest tracks, at least 1 washers should be used. With too much steering travel the rear end will lose traction coming out of corners and the vehicle will be very hard to drive. After months of testing on dierent track surfaces, 4 washers is the stock setting. IF THE REAR END OF YOUR VEHICLE IS LOOSE, USE MORE WASHERS.
