Post How do you get a Truggy to do a wheelie?

My truggy has the same engine as the Savage. I've seen savages on YouTube do backflips with this engine. I'm quite new to off road nitro but I do know that my truggy has a centre diff and the savage doesn't. What exactly does a centre diff do and how can I get more power to the rear wheels? I'm not looking for backflips or anything but a small wheelie would be nice

Pretty sure 300,000 will lock 'em.

now here is a wicked one from a few years back...this is a modified STS 30 in a Mugen MBX5T 30K center diff, 14th bell...... the engine has a wicked surge of power in the lower midrange that used to yank the truggy up onto its wing almost at will...

skip forward to 3:20 thats when the Truggy action starts.......

My clutch bell is 15 tooth and has a 49 spur gear I think so it shouldnt be that hard to pop a wheelie with a few mods! Oh and the YouTube vid is private or something when I click on it

If you want wheelies with your truggy you need to have a motor with a lot of torque. I didn't see where you mentioned what truggy your running, or what motor is in it. Another thing to consider is what tires your running. My Rc8t with truggy tires gets shitty traction around my house. If I put my tires from my Mt4 monster truck on it, it hooks up. The tires that come with a truggy are good for a hard pack clay track and that's about it. If I were you I would start with tires, from there you can mess with the center diff fluid. The kthicker, the better. I can wheelie my rc8t with 10,000 wt. Oil, 15 tooth clutchbell and monster truck tires. I'm running an LRP .30x which has alot of torque! I had another truggy with a .26 motor and it would wheelie no problem also. All I did with that truck was add monster truck tires. The monster truck tires are just taller and hook up much better than truggy tires.

Yep thick center diff oil and if you raise the ride height it helps alot.
