Steering servo, how much torque/speed?

I contest. I used a 1258tg as steering in my 8ight 2.0 for 2 seasons with no issues. Enough holding strength, and strong enough to withstand 2 seasons of abuse WITH the servo saver locked out. Gave the servo to my dad after getting my Radiopost; He has been running it in his 1/10 buggy for over a year.
Now I would recommend a RP multi type due to being faster and smoother. And almost bullet proof. Also they are LIPO ready.

If the 170 was 'upgraded' with newer circuitry and programmable, then I'm betting it's probably the same as the 7954, which still isn't the 7955.

If this is true, then the CS-170 should work with the Hitec programmers - which to my knowledge, none of the new CS-170's do.

+1 on this should be the starting point.
If you want the best then go KO rsx. They will break the bank but be trouble free for a long while. I even had a rep from brand X tell me (quietly) that they were working on coming out with a servo along the same like as the rsx but they are not there yet.
