INTECH RACING - BR-6 BUGGY!!!
#1111
Out at the track to practice this weekend car got loose in one section of track, i clipped a pipe and cracked both front hinge pins in half. Lucky i read about them and had another set. Yesterday at a big race someone i know has the E buggy and same thing happened to him in warm ups plus he snapped the caster block. Now i know with any car you should always have spares of things but i think its a little ridiculous that 2 minor hits will make these things snap so easy

I am currently signed with vp pro as a tire sponsor and I'm looking to go intech. I would just like to know what breaks on the car? What wears out? And what spares i will need? Also how well does the steer? Is it twitchy? Smooth? Thanks in advance!

Only thing I have broke is s caster block. But that was a wide open hit after a guy jumped the lane right in the straight. I was shocked that was all I broke. The buggy is not twitchy. The stock setup is really good I think. The car has amazing corner speed and has has rear traction. I have not had to replace anything due to wear. I say go for it. We will all be here to help you with any issues but I dont think you will have any

Maybe there was just a bad batch where they were over hardened as none of us here in FL have ever snapped one. Or maybe cold weather was causing it.
The only part I have broke in 6 months is a servo saver upper arm. But I had the nut cranked down. An alum is coming though.

Due to the fact that we were racing indoors during the winter and the weather was cold, I boiled all my plastic. Only broke a rear hub when I came off the jump sideways and hit a weight supporting pole in the building.
I did break some hinge pins first off but I did buy HB pins and give them to the guys that purchased the buggy from me.

Last weekend we were at the Upper-Austria Cup at Jaidhof. It is a very dusty track and difficult to drive.
On Saturday afternoon there was the first Qualification-run. I had a good run, but I had a few mistakes.
On the next day I was very tired and had temperature. In the afternoon was the start to the first semi-final. I started on the 4nd place. At the end of the race I was still on the 4nd place. In the evening was the start of the final. I started from the 6th place. During the first round I drove very constant and was on the 3rd place. After 20 minutes – I was on the 1st place – and I was proud and really happy!!!!!
I took the win from my team.
On the second place was my team-partner Florian Arnoldner – he was only ONE second behind me.

A great weekend for myself and the INTECH-CARS!
Yes, I did it! My first victory with my INTECH!

Florian – my mom Maria in the middle – and me

What is the part number for those hb pins?

I have had a bunch of cars, this one has proven to be the toughest yet. I race with GregB and Dave in the WV,OH,KY area. Yes i broke hinge pins but im hard on cars at times. Also i think the cold weather and extremely hard packed track had a lot to do with it. Had the car outdoors for 3 weeks now and havent had any issue aside from a bent shock shaft witch was my fault. I wouldnt be concerned with breaking issues its tough, trust me. I have nothing to benefit from bragging on the car. I could drive any car i want, the Intech is awesome. So easy to work on and maintain. Boil the plastic, i have yet to break a plastic part or even strip a screw in plastic. Believe me these cars in our area get used and we all give them hell. Mine has 10 races, qualifiers and hours of practice on it. Love it!

This is a short video of Dave Osborne in one of his qualifiers this past Saturday, its the white Intech. Dave went on to TQ and win the A main against some stiff competition. Daves Intech was dialed but so was he, Dave is a great driver and it shows!

I'm looking to pick up this buggy soon, what's a good starting setup and what options and fixes need to be done to the buggy. I see some guys are running Mugen pistons and other items. I'll be driving it in the Midwest area. Thanks and looking forward to any advice.

I would get the intech option droop screws, aluminum wing post, progressive springs, and some mugen pistons. The stock setup is actually a great starting point. My setup isnt far from it.

I have done over 30 race meetings with my BR6 on various surfaces including super high grip astro turf. I have had some spectacular crashes and never broken a hinge pin! I have raced in minus 8 celcious at some events and not broken any plastics either.
I have broken 2 front shock towers (massive impacts caused them to crack but not break completely) 1 servo saver (we have now machined an Ally one to try) bent 1 rear shock shaft after a real heavy flat out rear impact and cracked a front gearbox casing after hitting the pit wall at top speed!
I dont think many other cars would withstand that kind of abuse with such little damage. I went 6 months without a single breakage or retirement racing every weekend.

I have only broke a front bulkhead after a hard hit to a fence pipe....don't think any other buggy would've lasted. Also bent a rear shock shaft when someone plowed into my rear but any other buggy would've ended up the same. Tho I never broke a hinge pin.
