INTECH RACING - BR-6 BUGGY!!!
#992
Tony whats your dirt set up mate? Ran mine out the box at an indoor event on clay, a very small track and manages a 22 and 27 in round from 140 entries.
I am now turning my attention to outdoor dirt for the UK nationals in a couple of weeks, the weather has picked up a bit here and around 50 f last weekend so maybe a similar set up to you guys?
I run mainly astro over here and found 3 3 2 really good in the diffs but looks like you guys run higher on the dirt so will give it a try? Are you running 5 5 4?
Shock wise I have a range of tapered pistons 1.2 1.3 and 1.4 and have purple white and blue intech springs and Kyosho blue and orange.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS bad run last weekend! After running every weekend for 6 months with no breakages I managed to break the front diff housing and lost a pin (massive impact into the pit wall) got shunted in the rear by a flat out car and ripped all the screws out of rear diff housing and chassis brace, lost a screw from the castor block in Saturdays final and popped out the driveshaft and the centre to rear shaft came off in Sundays final probably due to the earlier rear ender! to top it off I had a receiver pack up and a front engine bearing go! Oh well I was due a bad one! Only managed 1 qualifier from 5 on Saturday and 1 from 5 on Sunday, luckily it was FTD timing so made 11th Saturday and 12th Sunday from 50 entries, the car had real pace but just had one of those weekends and didnt finish either final! Must put it right for the Nationals!

Bin looking at this buggy lately. I have a losi 8ight 2.0 now, how would you compare the two as far as driving? I also heard somebody say you need to run a short manifold is that true? I run the buku clutch on my car it's 34mm is that the same size?

To me the Br-6 has a TON more corner speed. More rear traction. It feels lighter/nimble yet has the stability. Very easy to work on and make setup changes. Most importantly to me its WAY more fun to drive. No need for en shortened manifold.

Not concerned about rotation or anything else for that matter. I'm watching the suspension. I seen a video of Gene's car and it looked like the car was taking the bumps not the shocks. It's been a little tough for me to get these shocks to feel like Losi or HB. I end up with too much pack or the rear hits hard enough to upset the car bad. The car is there. It's good. Turning some fast laps but something is going on with these rear shocks. A few of us are playing with it so hopefully something soon.

My buggy was only bad for a few quals at the PNB but that was because I tried different oils, springs, and Fioroni pistons and they were not right. At all the other races my shocks seem to be working good. No bottoming out and no bouncing on landings.
