What are the lengths of the Mugen shafts?

And do the Mugen pistons fits the Intech shocks?

I have wanted to test Mugen and Xray shafts but I don't have any to measure.

I prefer maximum up travel and as well as a good amount of down travel. So these tests will help Intech make improvements to the BR-6.

Did you drive the BR-5 or is the BR-6 your first Intech?
I am using the Br-5 shock bladders and I like them better because you do not have to use foam behind them or drill a vent hole in the caps.

Its my first Intech.Mugen pistons fits perfect.I have 1,3/5 holes taperd with 600/500 oil.I will get those BR 5 bladders.I can only tell you that The Mugen shafts fit perfect. Its good that you also talked to the factory about the shafts.

I'm glad the body comes pre-cut! Mine will be headed off to Larry G for some paint as soon as my kits get here, can't wait to start building! Thats good to know about the Mugen shock shafts, thanks!

I'm guessing they may be discontinued soon as they marked the price down to 15.99 now. Not sure though.
Here is a pic of mine with the hole for the HS needle. I made it a little too big though.

I'll take more pics later with close up shots but I had these in the computer already.

I just mounted a FTW 808 body but it is too wide. Is the Bitty 808 body too wide also? What I mean is there is a 3/8th gap between the chassis gaurds and the body.

I went with the J Concept Mugen Finisher body. It takes some configuring and you can not follow the precut lines but it will snug the chassis great.

You gonna run the Intech Brian ? Osborne got his and got her together. Can't wait to see him in action with it. Car looks good.
Nice seeing and chatting with you at the Midwest race.

Yes but that looks almost the exact same as the stock body. :D

Yeah, I can see I that. The stock is more rounded and the Finisher is boxed. I wanted the high boxed cab for my track to help push the buggy down. Fear Farm as you know is fast and long.

Hey guys. Just wondering something in regards to this Intech buggy. I DO NOT have a BR-6 but I have a brand new BR-5 Evo that i want to try out. What are the differences between the two. Not looking for whats different on paper, Looking for real racing situations.

Also, where do I get parts for a BR-5? If I like the BR-5 I might get a BR-6.

Most of the BR-6 parts will fit the BR-5. We also have some of the older BR-5 only parts but they are not on the website yet. If you need something that is not on the site, email us the parts #'s needed.

Looking real good and slim.I will post a pic on my body for the Hallenrennen in Germany. Its at the paintshop and it is a little odd body but awsome.

Sorry, I meant the MBX7 body is pre cut. You still have to cut the Intech BR6 stock one.

Yes, the mugen pistons are a direct fit. I am using the CSI ones for the mugen and tried the MBX7 1.3x5 hole taper hole pistons today.

The BR6 has more steering than the 5. Also, with the new gearing, it accelerates quicker out of the corners, handles the bumps better with the longer shocks too.

Neesh 01-28-2013 12:10 AM

not sure if you can tell in these pics but don't follow the cut out lines on the Bitty body. You'll have to be patient and take your time to trim the body to fit nicely.

We're happy to tell you that Francesco Ciriello, young and talented Italian F1 driver, will race with the BR-6 in the 2013. Ciriello has won numerous titles in Italy and one of the races is the champion of the regional championship AMSCI F1. He will participate in the Off Road European Championship B to be held in Italy in the city of Sacile.

Hello the Swede!

We run a lot of Astro here in the UK and have been testing the BR6 for a few months, unfortunately I havent had a bone dry race yet but had a good run a couple of weeks back on a drying track with mini pins.

my set up is on intechdrivers.com feel free to try it as a base set up, I qualified 3rd and finished 2nd and the car felt really good!

I looked at the setup sheets and i am supprised over your setup.I have been in germany and competed at Hallenrennen with astroturf for 4 seasons. We use 50 000 diff oils in front and middel.7-800 in the schocks. If we go lower The car flips.Maybe this astroturf in germany is deeper and moore grip .

Interesting, it is a tighter fit then the FTW 808.

I mounted the FTW MBX6 body and it fit very good, so I think that is the best match from FTW.

50,000 in the diffs? or 5,000??

EJF 01-28-2013 08:29 AM

whats wrong with the stock body? or is everyone looking for different options.

Ben Burtle 01-28-2013 08:35 AM

The stock body looks really nice. Good shape. It's just thin. They were trying to make it light weight. I am having the stock body painted up.

Neesh 01-28-2013 09:02 AM

Nothing wrong with the stock one. Its just that I prefer the more smooth lines of the Bitty style. My stock one is thick though. I have 3 of the stock ones and all seems pretty thick.

VPProUSA 01-28-2013 09:07 AM

Same here, the stock body if good, I just like the way the FTW body looks better - more round and less boxy.

VPProUSA 01-28-2013 09:25 AM

Just got some Tapered shock pistons in. 6 x 1.25mm

http://www.vpprousa.com/components/c...6b20dc19fb.jpg

I will try these next weekend. The stock 1.3mm ones work good, but these should have a little more pack and a little quicker rebond.

I just cant get my head around 50k diff oil in front and centre, what do you run in the rear? What would I expect to happen handling wise going from say 5k to 50k? I have heard of some Mugen drivers running 20 20 10 but never as high as 50 and never in an Intech! Would love to see it, may have to try it now and see what happens lol!

Its all about corner speed. When go up to 50 k you can go in the corner in high speed without flipping over. You can drive trough the corner with a lot of throttle.I have not tried this track with The Intech but with Mugen and Kyosho i used 50/30/10.Some of the factory drivers used 50/50/50 and i know that some used 100/100/100.First time i tried The track i used 20/10/5 and i had to go very slow round the corners to not flipp.I went up to 50/30/10 and went 2 SEK faster. We also cut off the three first lines of dub at the outside. There are som clip of the track at youtube.Search for Hallenrennen Quakenbruck.

Cars are on rails!

The only issue I see is that in this event the surface is flat like a carpet apart from the man made jumps. In the UK we run on astro turf but it is bumpy as it is usually laid on grass or soil so very uneven so not sure how this set up would compare. Defo worth a try though! When is this event? May be worth a trip over!

22-24 Feb.Its full.150 competitors registerd in just one day.You need to be alert and sit at your computer when the registration open.I understand what you mean with your tracks. There is one i Denmark that is bumpy astroturf.I think there is alot moore grip in germany.I do think you should try like 10/10/5 and leave the rest on the car as it is.
