No sir, never again............
Lots of simple green and a nice pressured hose will take care of that!

Of course, you'll probably have to redo all the bearings and diffs and... not worth it.

Although, it's looks like another rained out weekend in NoVa. I need to run something...

Same here, or race indoors

I must either be totally drunk or high on drugs to run my buggy or truggy when it's raining. Unless of course, I'm a brand team driver

Since we're racing on astroturf and this is Belgium, I race a lot when it's raining.
Luckily there's no mud on our tracks, so I just spray some wd40 on my axles to prevent them from rusting.

How to prepare your R/C car for Poor Weather Conditions...
Step 1:
Build a rotating stand.
Step 2:
Place Buggy on Stand.
Step 3:
Hope next week the weather is better.

Default Tires!

Hiya Folks,

I come from Asia where rain is typical. Mostly, as long as it's not crazily chucking down, the race goes on.

I noticed some of my friends who come prepared with home made skinny tires (cut down rims and glued tires together).

The reason for it is that the skinny tires cuts through the mud and prevents mud from stinking to the insides or the rims and on the tire surface (caking). Thus preventing engine over stressing.

It also makes the car lighter as there is less mud splashing unto the chassis and body.

I found a ready made replacement (instead of elbow greasing):
Grp jolly narrow tires

I've never heard of these tires, this is great! Just like rallye cars do when they drive in very loose conditions. I have to try that!
