sounds like the head/heatsink may have loosened up. try tighting the screws.
how old is the engine?

tighten the glow plug, if it is a standard plug it may need a new copper washer, if its a turbo plug tighten that bugger down.

its a rc car brand people say its crap and all that but it also depends how you treat your rc. Other brands like hpi are really good because all the parts are aluminium and the motor is good quality but if you upgrade all the parts including motor to better quality on a cheap nitro rc you get the same thing . You would end up paying the same amount of money so if you dont have much money get a redcat and slowly upgrade everything.

sounds like a plug may have been cross threaded or the button in the head isn't seating properly. pull the 4 screws, check the headspace washers and the button for damage to the threads. I have 2 redcat 1/10 buggies myself. They are cheap, but they do the job for me. I got 4 kids, and can not afford to drop the $250+ upfront on a name brand buggy.
