The X-drive for the current chassis is available I think. I never ordered them as the X-drive for the S350 longer chassis will be available soon. The X-drive makes your drive much more smoother and gives you a better throttle feel. The owner of S-Workz Scott Yang uses the X-Drive system. No bearing issues at all.

The new Optional wheel nuts and springs are must buys!!! The Blue option springs should suit most tracks. I talk to Scott almost at a daily basis. Will update you guys once anything new from S-Workz are coming.

Guys,

Tha XDrive is the ring a pinion like was used in the x ray... If You look at the SWorkz site you can see the X Drive next to the diff housing.

I saw that on there. I thought that it was a pre-production picture.

From my understanding it was pre production. Because of the backlash due to XRay having so many issues with it they never went forward with it. But it was designed and did fit. From my understanding now a few guys have been testing it and it has worked flawless. We have some coming for us to test. But we are of the opinion the stock system works perfect thus the resin it is in the kits. If it's not broke don't fix it.

Default Report for the Jconcepts Southern Indoor Nationals

for the ones who havent seen this:

http://www.neobuggy.net/modules/news...?storyid=11091

I attended the race as Jason has already mentioned. So you know most of the report.

But i just wanted to say Taylors car looked dialed in the main. We chatted briefly about set-ups, and both of us were really close to each other. As far as i know Taylor had no mechanical issues with the buggy at all, everything was flawless until his receiver failed on him in the amain running second behind lutz..

I had some small problems on my part in qualifying, resulting in a 13th place start in the pro b-main. At the start of the race I knew i had to be on top of my game and be a smart racer. After 4 turns coming onto the back straight i was in 4th. Eventually, after the first pit stops i found myself in 2nd. Holding a good pace and not being to risky i was pulling away from 3rd and 4th and catching the leader. With 6 mins left to go and my last pit stop taken care of, i was just going to make sure i finished as there were 3 bump ups and i was in 2nd with 3rd 10-20 secs behind me.. Unfortunately, with me having no luck at large races the past year, i did not even make another lap with lapped traffic causing me a dnf. Ended up rear ending a car that JUST stopped on the large double breaking my shock shafts.

It was definitely a tough way to go out after being so close to having 2 SWORKZ in the Amain at their first large race..

Kudos to Sworkz and Ascendancy Racing for the awesome product. I feel like this car will continue to grow in the us as a heavy contender!

Blake,

Great report! Sorry for the bad luck but with you skill it is only a matter of time before it turns around. Also for anyone who may know someone we are still looking to fill 1 more 100% slot. We are hoping to find someone maybe on the west coast.

So if you think you got what it takes or know someone that does have them send the resume to [email protected]

I can tell you from first hand experience that the original XRAY 808 design was indeed a problem. I ran XRAY for 2 years before switching to Agama. What happens is that Chassis flex and Chassis brace flex causes those bearings in the bulkhead to blow out. The more runtime you have on your chassis and braces, the more flexy it becomes and the faster you blow out those bearings. I tried all the tips and tricks but it got to a point when I blew out those bearings pretty much every weekend. There is a reason XRAY went back to the standard (Mugen type) ring and pinion. Trust me when I tell you to be glad the S works has that same design, and I would be very hesitant to try that X type option set-up.
For the record though, Serpent has been using that design from day 1 and seems to be holding up pretty good.

Jazz,

Thanks for the input. As for now our kits come with the normal ring and pinion. I do not expect that to change any time soon. But the x drive is an option and if someone decides they want to try it we will be happy to bring it in. Once we get some test results from Taylor we will let everyone know.

But for know the stock system is amazing and works great!
