I have a P5 but prefer the GO 7 or 5 port better. The Go 7port performs like Vspec with excellent bottom and better topend. The life span of the GO is also very good.
I have the 5 and the 7 port and prefer the 7port.
I am storing my P5 as backup.

I love my Go 5 port, couldn't of asked for a better engine.

I am truly a Novarossi fan. I think its the best engines.
The GO's are copies of the Novas only cheaper. The internals are interchangeable. The Go's have a noticeable improvemnet in power and runtime over the Novas.
I have been running them since last year October. Still going strong.

Just popped in to say.

I'm so exited. Cant wait to start with completing my CRT
I got myself the SH12 handbuilt version. Comes with Turbo head. I dont hear many racers using this mill.
Definitely the first CRT.5 in my neck of the woods.
The package looks excellent quality. Will keep you guys posted on the progress.

CRT Review: Jerseyboy

After receiving my CRT .5 pro, I could not wait to see this car. First glance the look and feel is definitely the best I have ever seen from any 1/10th scale off-road vehicle.
The chassis plate is solid, the plastics looks very durable. Shock towers are strong.

The kit comes with most of it pre-built.
You have to glue tyres on rims, fit the engine, build the shocks and fit battery box and servo tray, mount servos and make up steering and throttle linkages.

Well I started with the engine first:
I mounted the flywheel on the collar. And it uses 1/8th scale clutch shoes. Means very long life on shoes. Comes with the HN black carbon shoes and the springs looks like 0.9 or smaller. Clutch bell fits nicely but if you don’t space up the CB bearings the clutch bell touches on the flywheel.
I was not happy with my spacing and after removing the flywheel several times I actually grinded the collet on the engine bearing side. I took off 0.5mm. This gave me just the right amount of spacing on my flywheel to tighten the front bearing without putting strain on it.

Next I assembled the shocks. The shocks took some figuring out as you get quite a lot of extra bits. Extra shock pistons, spaces, shock cap ends.

The shocks assemble like any pro set of shocks. I used the longer shock cap mounting. I used the recommended shock piston with 2 holes. After assembly filled it with oil and perfect shock action first time. The shock is excellent quality.

For diff oils I only managed to do the centre diff. You have to remove the complete diff mounting. It does not split top an bottom. Fairly easy to pull apart. Diff gears looks 1/8th scale quality. I filled mine with 3000 centre. I will complete the rest later.

The next step was the part I was looking forward to. The servo mounting.
I tried to follow all the CRT threads on servo mounting and found that everyone uses either one full sized and one mini servo.
Well I have 2 digital HT servos that is too weak to use in my 1/8th scale and I was planning to make it work in my CRT .5 .
I followed the instruction I found on Truggyraces and I must say that this is probably the easiest mod for full-sized servos.

I also noticed that the chassis has quite bit of flex in the centre. I also read about some guys putting in extra braces, I also compared the flex with the servo tray mounted. It has similar flex. I think this might be a problem later. I’ll look at resolving that.
So far so good. Have not run in the engine but I will keep you updated.
