Default Some Advise Please

Looking to buy an 1/8 scale nitro. I want to race at local track for R.O.A.R races and they said its only 1/8 scale. Any suggestions would be great. I love the price of the Losi 810 but it like a pound too light. I really dont want to spend 600.00 off the bat you know

for a decent rtr 8th scale buggy or truggy you wont find a much lower price

if you go super cheap you wont get any quality that will hold up for racing

i would say get a hot bodies car and piece together the rest

there are a few good engines under 175$ish a bunch under 200$ ish , then pipe then radio , then fuel , then etc. etc.

any 1/8 scale (beside rtr kit) will be in the 400-600 range.. to get it race ready.. 600-2000.. if you get all cheap things 600-1000.. if you get a high end kit and high end motor/servos.. 1200-2000

roller kit.. 400-600
motor.. 200-500
pipe for motor. 50-200
servos.. need 2.. 50-200 each
remote.. 150-500
starter box.. 100-200 with a battery
tires.. 60-80 a set..
fuel 30 a gallon
tools and other needed thingsif you don have 200-500..

so buying a rtr is going to be the cheapest way to get into 1/8 scale racing..

the only other way is search thru the for sale section and buy a used car ready to go but will be in the 300-600 range.. jeremy

Buy a kit that you lhs supports, 1/8 is not cheap and 600.00 might not do it, the best value for the money in kit form is the HB hara edition, and in rtr is the losi 2.0rtr.

If you want to go new then the losi 8 rtr is the ticket. It comes with everything that you need minus fuel, a fuel bottle and a couple batteries. The engine will be competitive at your local track and ifyou set up the servo end points they will run for a while. Parts support is always the biggest for losi and they are durable as can be.

Check out eBay I have a Kyoshi Inferno Neo Buggy for sale. Doesn't have a remote but you will get a fast engine and a crap load of extras you won't find in an RTR. Search number: 170774986124

check it out.

Thanks
