Our LHS im sure makes most of its money from new people to the hobby and bashers... but once you know them thye give deals that are hard to beat even online. And if they sell the kit they fully stock all the parts for it.

they also price match..

Our stock should be realtime, we work very hard to keep it that way, though often a walk in customer will buy something and we will be too busy to update the store until the next morning, but that doesnt happen too often, we try and keep it realtime.

I really liked Carolinas because they were so close I could get parts the next day. When their inventory dropped off and they charged for parts that were not in stock and you had no idea of when they would be back in stock kind of drove me away. I really did not get back to them since their inventory seemed to never have what I needed.

As far as shipping, the discounted UPS rate is pretty reasonable IMO. For me UPS is much more reliable than the USPS in most cases.

Hopefully the increased volume will bring the prices down some. We have to wait and see.

well, actually when i did have a lhs the guy that owned it was a racer and did have some raceing stuff like tires and basher stuff than some aholes stoled about $1000 worth of kits and other things also so it closed it was small lhs.

but, the main reason why the prices have to be higher in lhs is because of overhead ,rent , "paying distribers" and paying there "employess" i mean i think if they really wanted to match like amain.

or others they whould have to pay thier empolyess less which i woulnt agree with since they get min wage probety.

no hobbytown well thats a diffrent story

There is no physical store. It closed several months ago. Got a link to that FB info? **** Wait I found it. I seen no where that Kendall stated they purchased a physical store, just the domain name.

A-main doesn't grow products in a garden. They deal with distributors just like everyone else. You better bet, they have alot of over-head. If they own the building, it's a massive payment not to mention the interest. If renting, it's still huge. Nothing is pure profit, not by a long shot.

Jonathan,
We are a couple hours from Dixons. You send me a list of part numbers and I can always shoot you a price. I think you might be suprised at the prices.

In Arkansas we have www.gshobby.com a GREAT hobby shop and i race with one of the guys that works at the hobby shop and if i need parts i can give him a call and have them in 2 days its GREAT. We all so have a LHS at the track but the guy that owns it only keep parts for what ever he is racing at the time but he will order you parts if you need them but i can do that .
