I have had the problems that many people have described. Between the lack of blinking, wind, dust, and wearing contacts, I have a hard time. I saw several racers wearing goggles at a track. I didn't understand why until I went to a race and the dust was blowing around so bad. I noticed a big difference the first time I wore goggles.

Try the goggles. Drink lots of water, stay hydrated.

I have the same problem with my eyes watering when the wind starts up. Last summer I was wanting a new pair of sunglasses, and decided to get some WileyX sunglasses. The model (Jake's) that I got have a removable seal that keeps winds, dust, etc. out of your eyes.

I use to have the same problem then started making myself blink when the car is in the air worked good till yesterday . I drove on a windy day and my eyes watered no matter what . Thought about getting goggles but my sunglasses frame even distracts me .

Your eyes will tear from the wind and nitro engine smoke tends to make your eyes irratated.

Wear a good sunglasses. try to cover most of your eyes.

if you wear MX goggles make sure they are anti-fog ones. some of my old ones would fog pretty fast if you sat there with them on...

but i always blink in the air or straights, does the trick for me.

I have this exact same problem and I wear contacts. Sometimes I have to wait until I flip over and then clear the wetness.

i just started to race nitro. i came from the 1/10 electric world and never had this problem till now. i dont think it has anything to do with not blinking, well maybe a little. But i have noticed the amount of fumes gathered around the driver stand is gnarly! even more so when there is a covered driver stand. its like the stuff pockets up there. also having a straight right infront of the driver stand doesnt help.
i have seen guys wear hats, glasses, goggles, and they seem to help out alot.
maybe if your not too worried about where you are positioned on the driver stand, stand up wind or away from the pits below.
