Default Should i buy a Lost 8eight 2.0 buggy?

I was at my LHS today and asked him what a good buggy was. ( i have a revo 3.3) and he told me the Losi 8eight 2.0 was the best and was good to get started with. i was wondering if it is a good one to start with, easy to use, good deal, and good to get better with ( meaning ill use it for a long time, and lots of races)
Please Submit all you comments! gonna need all i can get!

Your local HS is ignorant to say its the "best", but it is very good and you could use it a long time.

It's up to you they are both good. If price is no option i would go for the MP9 I just cant afford $2,000 for a MP9

Losi 8ight is a solid platform to start out with. Just set you Radio endpoints and all is good.

There is a Spec-A version of the MP9 that does come assembled.(Engine and electronics are not included.) You will have your choice of any electronics, engine or tires to put on it anyway you like.

$900 and you put it together or $950 assembled then figure $200-$300 for engine $60-$100 for pipe/manifold $200 for servos $250-$350 for radio $65 for wheels/tires $30-50 for receiver battery $60-$100 for bump box

I am not sure about the spectrum transmitter that comes with losi's. I have had 3 spektrums, (2 DX2's and 1 DX3). The 1 dx2 had Signal problems, at around 75 feet away it would lose signal.
I smashed that one and sold the other with the Turmoil I had, which would only get around 175-200 feet before signal lose. The dx3 would have signal problem only when I shifted my MGT with the 3rd channel.
My DX3's will not be used anymore, as i took the antenna for an M11 Mod.
