I really don't mind. I was looking at the Thunder Tiger Tomahawk st but it seems a bit weak. I would like a truggy but anything would work as long it can take rough landings and sand.

If you don't mind 1/10 scale then the Kyosho DBX is a great starter buggy. $220 ready to run at a-main. After replacing the motor with an OS and the steering servo with a much better one it's an entirely different car, but the originals provided lots of fun before they died. For the price I have been very happy.

1/8 scale buggy or truggys have to be the toughest thing made, with the abuse they are put through on the track. if brand name is not important, a Jammin buggy or truggy or a good choice. They are fairly cheep now just not what everyone wants on the track. I raced a jammin x2crt and couldn't tear it up.
