if you take your time getting the car broken ina and take it easy you should be good.

Take a look at the ofna lx1 rtr they are 274 or cheaper on ebay and they are tuff as hell. The engine is easy to tune and brake in. I have one that I started with 4 years ago and beat the hell out of and haven't broken any parts other on a shock tower. 1 the first thing you need to buy if getting into is a good bump box it will save you a lot pain, the OFNA BLUE BOX WITH DUAL 775 WILL BUMP START A CHEVY, THEN A CHEAP 2.4 RADIO THE YOU CAN FIND THEM ALL OVER CHEAP AND THEY WORK WELL. HOPE THIS MIGHT HELP YOU OUT. Plus with the lx1 parts are cheap an easy to find

For a beginner the ofna buggys are a pretty great deal. They are cheap and they look pretty tough.

I don't know about that particular model but I can tell you several of my friends race Ofna buggies with success.
