Default Slight hesitation from time to time when blipping throttle

Losi 8ight t 2.0 rtr. Losi 454 motor. Spektrum dx3s, jr9100t, SR3300T receiver.

Sometimes when racing i blip the throttle only to get a slight hesitation before it reacts(like a second). Motor is tuned great and I don't think that is the problem but i'm not ruling it out yet either. When it does finally react the motor sounds fine no lean bog or spitting or stuttering. Its more like a delayed radio/servo/carb sticking or something. Anyone experience this or something like it? It might happen 3 times in a 20 minute main.

It your throttle linkage set up right? It could be binding up. You may be a little lean on your low speed needle, causing a lean bog.

I'll check the throttle linkage but i haven't really changed it since it was new. I have taken off the ring on the slide that the throttle linkage connects too. I have struggled alittle to find the best angle to put that back at.

What does a lean bog on the low end sound like?

i will be in watson saturday night for the race. You coming? It doesn't sound like a tuning issue. Linkage or even clutch maybe.

Try rebinding the RX/TX. See if that helps. See if you can get it to malfunction on the bench. Take note whether it does it only when the car is running. Eliminate one component at a time till you find it. That or your flywheel maybe slipping on the collet.

I'll try rebinding. I feel like it's in the linkage or radio. Dreaux: I plan on racing watson this weekend.

Also, the flywheel is tight. I'll be running a brand new clutch with green and gold springs this weekend. We'll see.

I run a rubber band for throttle return. How do I ensure the slide doesn't get "tweaked" against the idle stop screw. Hope that makes sense.

If you have a weak servo and a strong rubber band, that might be a problem. What servo you running for your throtle?

Hmm, Try a better engine, like a Novarossi. you can get a .21bf for 150. Worth the money.

Finally reproduced it on the bench. Using jr9100s on throttle. New mil not an option til this one wears out.

I was smoothly pulling from idle to full throttle. When it got to full throttle it quickly went back to idle, while the trigger still pulled to full, then quickly went back to full. What do u think? Servo or rebind? Servo still pulls strong.

Try rebind first.
