the stair case was my idea and man i regreted it, during the whole season, i think i flipped over 200 times on the stairs

bigjayjay1 05-11-2010 11:48 PM

awesome layout track and area looks very well managed takes a lot of effort to keep things running correctly. What type of surface material are you folks running on looks like a mix of sand and something else for bond

Jaz240 05-11-2010 11:54 PM

That's awesome Ali! man I would love to see one race that dont start with Carnage!! Great video..that track is insane bro..Is that hard packed Sand you guys race on?

mrbusta 05-12-2010 12:02 AM

isnt Kuwait were are oil comes from
wow and we pay enormous price for 1.1 car fuel now we know
and u guys have got a cream off the top track like that at least
u guys put money into something good well done guys pitty we cant have that over here in Australia surface looks great the pit area is top notch all i gotta say now wow

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 12:20 AM

the track surface is mixed sand and agricultural soil (is the spelling correct??)
very hard packed with a little/alot of dust depending on the weather.
thanks for the comments

cheers

Ali

Jason Pelletier 05-12-2010 12:48 AM

That track is dialed !! Kuwait's doing it !!!!

Nice job on the win.

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 01:15 AM

thanks,

well we are doing it now thanx to the effort of all RCCCK members and on top of them Nawaf (Shesha) he made everything possible for us, he orgenises, directs and manages almost everything realted to offroad racing.

the down side is summer for us, the temp is very high that we stop for almost 5 monthes from mid april to mid september :(

cheers

Ali

dishsoap 05-12-2010 01:21 AM

Very Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is one long straight. Looks pretty organized as well. Marshals are wearing neon vest for identification and is sounds like the race director is calling them out to flip cars.

Looks like a really fast track as well.

Why does the season end for you.

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 01:26 AM

thanks for the words, we stop because of the temp. it gets really hot in here, now adays its around 40C and within a month or se, it gets up to low
50sC and thats taken under the shadow :weird: under direct sun light, we wont last 30 minutes outdoors, i guess engine temp will be around 400F

cheers

Massive 122 deg f

dishsoap 05-12-2010 01:41 AM

Actually I just did the conversion. That mean you guys get to 122 fahrenheit.

In Phoenix Arizona we see those temps every summer. Most of the time its around 117 to 120. Our engines still run at regular temps.

Jason Pelletier 05-12-2010 01:44 AM

it's not humid in AZ so it aint so bad. In new york if it was 120 deg fat people would be dropping dead din the streets.

Yes that makes sense.

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 02:03 AM

man 50s in the shadow is around 58-60 under direct sunlight, thats 140-145F and the feels like temp is like HELL
i was in the states many years ago and saw the summer in TX, FL and CA, yes its hot but no way its comparable to the heat in here. when you walk around, you have the impression that the sun forgot every one on the planet and following you

now back to our TRACK please :D

cheers

I spent a year in Kuwait from 2005-2006. It is the hottest place on earth. I have never been so miserable in my life. We had a pool that would get so warm from the sun that it felt like a hot tub.

Great track by the way. Nicely done.

tech5 05-12-2010 09:55 AM

radical

TheFcuddy 05-12-2010 10:04 AM

Awesome track!

NitroOB4You 05-12-2010 10:40 AM

Your facility is NASTY!...in a great way. It makes some here in the U.S.A look like a sandbox. You fellas should feel proud, awesome job. :)

bigjayjay1 05-12-2010 01:43 PM

I was just wondering are all RC enthusiast welcomed do you have any Americans / Military people coming out?

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 04:03 PM

hey guys,

thanks for the comments,

for sure it's open for everybody but we run under IFMAR rules, so if your car/ engine have the specs for IFMAR 1/8 buggies, you can race with us.

we currently have a couple of Americans, a couple of Brits, Germans, French, Saudis, and Philipinos :D we are all good friends and very close friends with some of the guys.

most of the Military guys here race either monster trucks or revos, we dont race those classes. if you happen to know anyone interested in buggy/truggy racing in Kuwait, let him/them contact either myself or Shesha in here.

cheers

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

I SPENT 23 MONTHS IN REAL MISERY AND WE DIDN'T HAVE A POOL!!!

Anyway, that track is awesome. Wish I coulda ran there during our two week stay before headin north! Where are the BMWs and Ferraris? Don't you guys get paid a crazy amount of money just for being a citizen? During our convoy through kuwait city we had a police escort and they all had 540i Sport BMWs as cop cars and we passed more than one exotic car dealership!!!

jjshbetz11 05-12-2010 04:23 PM

Verry nice track!!!! Is that a club race or a points race? Reason I ask is it always that well groomed? Sucka's a big track for sure:nod:

dreaux 05-12-2010 04:33 PM

that is hands down the best track i have ever seen!!! Man i would love to race on that track!!

TopGearRC 05-12-2010 04:50 PM

So whats the average tiem around the track? seems like a 40-45 second lap to me

Hoops 05-12-2010 06:25 PM

WOW!!! That track is gnarly!!!

G35Titan 05-12-2010 09:34 PM

WOW, That track is ridiculous!! I wish we had a track like that here in the South!

houston 05-12-2010 10:04 PM

Very cool I have a friend leaving for a year I will defiantly mention he mentioned getting nitro fuel was hard what location is the track.

KWT-NITRO 05-12-2010 11:47 PM

hey guys,

thanks for the great comments, and yes its very Hot in here.

we dont get payed crazy money for being citizens :D that wouldnt be fair. we do have a lot of wealthy families in Kuwait and people love cars in Kuwait, unfortunately, am not one of those families

that was a point race, we try to keep it clean for all races and do small sand/concrete work few days before the race so people could race on a clean/smooth track.

the track time is 50s for newbs, high 40s for the normal guys, 41-42s for the fast guys and 39s for one Crazy Fast 16 years old Kid.

Hey Monty, the engine isn't running anymore bro, cleaned it, lubed it, sealed bag and back in her BOX waiting for the 2010 WC.

the track is located in Zahra area (south surra) next to the science club.

getting nitro fuel isnt hard in Kuwait, i think your talking about a thread a long time ago, he was in Iraq. but in Kuwait we have at least 7 or 8 shops where you can get nitro fuel.

if he's coming to Kuwait, give him our site www.rccck.org and he will find alot of info over there.

cheers

Ali

wstuart 05-12-2010 11:49 PM

Sick track Ali. Im not gonna lie - when i clicked on the video i expected to see some crappy little track that a bunch of marines threw together in their spare time - but you guys blew my expectations away. Kinda looks like thunder alley here in socal but bigger and probably better. I like the spacing on your jumps.

I wonder if you guys could run a worlds event. Do you guys ever get it to groove ( get a blue rubber line)?

KWT-NITRO 05-13-2010 12:16 AM

hey wstaurt,

LMAO man we get the same words when new people come around, no one expected to see such facility in Kuwait with a control room that looks like a command station and the AMB automated system with the nice computer Lady voice announcing everything :D

to hold a WC event?? its possible but i guess we will need tons of work and alot of money to get the area ready. i love the track but hate the area around it, needs to be cleaned and orgenized, we need better toilets and few chill out areas. maybe few containers as work spaces for racers and I WANNA SEE GREEN GRASS IN THE TRACK dead areas
we will try to hold an international race hopefully in 2011 open for everybody and specially the Asia block (FEMCA) and see how it goes from there.

Blue groove?? No way, the race line is very visible but its more like super compacted sand where it feels almost like asphalt and the grip is good, maybe we could get the blue groove by spraying the track with diesel/veg oil like the WC track in Pattaya. but still not sure

cheers

Ali

dishsoap 05-13-2010 12:56 AM

LOL. This is awesome. Hows this for money can buy everything. Only 2 guys out this whole web site get the chance to race this track week in and week out during season.

Hey Dish what did you do this winter. I took a road trip to Kuwait and raced this sick track. You know the one that only 2 racers on this site get to race at. Well now 3. :)

dishsoap 05-13-2010 01:03 AM

Everyone go back and watch the race clip again with the volume up. At the 2:37 mark listen in.

"MARSHALL" "OPEN YOUR EYES MARSHALL"

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KWT-NITRO 05-13-2010 04:52 AM

LMAO, man the marshalls over here take alot of beating, specially when lower finals run with new guys running!!! you see buggies flying straight to the marshall's head, chest or best case knees

i think there are 5 or 6 of us here on Rctech but only 2 are active members. total number of racers in Kuwait is around 60 but they never show up all for a race, the max we had was 53 or 54 racers i think, but normally its around 40 racers.

road trip to Kuwait??!!! hmmm let me think!!! if you wanna race with us during the 2012 winter season, you better pack and leave today

cheers

Ali

G35Titan 05-13-2010 08:30 AM

So I am guessing, and correct me if I'm wrong, but are those full time paid or volunteer marshalls? So the racers don't have to marshall? If that's the case, that is just down right awesome! Jealous!

fatdaddy 05-13-2010 10:37 AM

what an amazing track! i would love to run there!!
