Default Throttle Return O-ring

What size O-ring are you guys using for throttle return? I was reading buggy and truggy magazine and saw a tip on using an O-ring for throttle return, but they didn't list a size.

He means for throttle return back to close position.

There are some kind of silicone hair ties that work well too.. they are tiny and thin. Put two of them on and you are good to go..

Go to WalMart and get some Goody's Ouchless silicone hair ties. Be sure to get silicone bands to handle the heat, and you'll be good to go.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will get the rubber bands from Wal-mart and give them a try. I tried to run a spring but it sticks and the slide doesn't return to idle.

As mentioned before, go to Wal-Mart and get a pack of Goody Ouchless Hair Ties. They are made of silicone so they don't deteriorate like rubber bands. They are the same as the GMK O-rings but the Goody ones are clear, cost less and you get triple the amount. I have been using them for years.

Make sure its working before putting it on the track. Test it w/ the engine off, go full throttle then turn of the rx power it should come back to zero throttle. Otherwise its just a false sense of security.

the color ones are better, the black ones seem to snap off too often.

Only colored ones they had were latex, so that wouldn't work. Just think though....yet another way to color coordinate your RC rigs!
