do any of you out there know Jimmy or know how he might be running the JBRL events this year... specifically round one in a couple weeks at Thunder Alley? i am wondering if he is gonna run the track dry and if so is it gonna blue grove? or is he planning on running the track wet. i am trying to figure out correct tire choices and set-up decisions and would really like to know before hand

Track will be ran wet like most big races at TA. As for tires, Holeshots are great but wear fast, at the end of the day most people run Holeshots as the track gets hardpack. At the beginning of the day Calibers, Bowfighters, and CityBlocks work well and last alot longer. All tires in Soft/M3 compound. You really don't need any setup changes unless of an 'unusual' track layout, also the track will develop some ruts at the end of the day, nothing too bad though.

this helps a ton. i didnt make TA last year but i didnt make some of the races and he ran some wet and some dry so i didnt know what he does at TA. is there any pics of the current track layout and is it gonna be the same layout for the JBRL or is TA changing it?

It's the tracks decision on watering, not Jimmy's.

They are putting in a new layout for this race. The track will be open Friday the 9th for Practice and raicng Saturday and Sunday.

"Thunder Alley will be closed Friday April 2nd till Thursday April 8 to put in a new layout for JBRL Nitro Round 1. We will reopen Friday April 9th at 12:00pm - 8:00pm for practice. Practice fee is $8.00 for the day."
