Default Hitec 7954hv servo

I haven't heard anything about these servos on here. I am looking at these and am wanting some feedback. I am going lipo and am looking for some HV servos, and the $ and specs look great. Is the only difference between this and the top of the line ones the ti gears, or does this servo not have the new v2 resolution like the 5955ti ?

From what I heard, the 7954 is pretty much a 7955 without the TI gears but is HV rated. I have been running 7955 & 5955 for a year now straight lipo and have had no issues. Guys are blowing out the 7940s and going back to a 7955. Guys that I know who are running the 7950 have had no issues. I would just go with a 7955. I think it is more of a marketing scheme to sell the HVs.

ya for sure on the 7955's....i bought 3 of the JR highvoltage 8711hvt and i have had a gear drop in one 2 weeks ago in steering and the motor quit in my throttle one last week....i did research on them and cant find any difference between z9100t and highvoltage so hitec could be doing a marketing scheme never know....one things 4sure im selling them all and buying hitec on ebay 7955's for $90 bucks shipped cant beat that anywhere...just my 2 cents

I am running 7940/7950 in my buggy and truggy with no issues. The 7954 is just missing the ti gears. It should be fine. IMO the prob is with the high speed servos on the throttle, not sure why but it's like they don't hold up there. I havens had any issues with hitec, tons of issues with jr high volt and reg 9100 series. Time will tell.
