Exclamation Fuel for Soldiers

Hey everyone, Merry Christmas!

I represent a group of Soldiers with Nitro Trucks and Truggies that are clean and shiny! Disgusting, I know!

Anyway, we bought our trucks thinking that fuel wasn't going to be an issue, but apparently people treat is as if it were Gasoline. We've tried everything to get fuel out to us here in Iraq, but no one will help us out. I've emailed Distributors, Hobby shops all over the place and even emailed the people at Traxxas only to get "We can't help you." Thanks Traxxas, you're awesome!

We've had talk with DHL and they want $800 in HAZ fees. 800 bucks is a lot of money! We are willing to pay Haz fees, don't get us wrong but $800 is pretty hefty. Before we resort to having to go with Electric, we figured we'd keep trying a little longer.

I've been in talks with Hobby Shops in Kuwait and Dubai, but we still don't have a shipper. If anyone can help us resolve this fuel issue, we would be very greatful. At this point, we're willing to sneak it into the postal system in fabric softener bottles. If anyone knows of any distributors or shipping companies that can help us get fuel from Kuwait or anywhere else in the WORLD to us, please email me at [email protected], our cars just keep getting cleaner!

- Merry Christmas!

I feel your pain man. I am stationed in Japan right now and it can be really difficult at times. But I have heard of guys getting it in Kuwait. I am not sure how were getting, but I know that they were. The guys in Afgan have just been running electric to avoid this problem. Where are your cargos coming in from? Try getting in good with the Crew chiefs and Loadmasters from the Air Force side. Believe me, they can get a lot of stuff for you. That would probably be your best bet. Good luck. And if you need anything from Japan, let me know.

Where are guys running in Afghanistan. I am at BAF, does anyone here. As for the nitro honestly. Buy the smaller bottles instead of the gallon bottles, and have the wifes or girlfriends ship them over.

When I was in Iraq we had our gas sent in gatorade bottles. One kid even had his mom send him full gallons of nitro in the original containers...through usps. It can be done, but someone will get caught eventually!

That does suck man. Hopefully you can get it resolved, but when someone does finally get caught, you'll be paying a lot more than HAZ fees. I used to work MP Customs in Germany from '02-'05 so I know.

Wow. I must say that this is awesome to see vendors step up and support. You would be surprised how many other companies are never willing to even try. Thanks. It really does mean a lot.

No, thank you.....It is the least we can do. I am going to foward this link to some other suppliers/vendors and see if we can make this some sort of "program" to help with all the logistics. I have some friends stationed here at Fort Cambell, so I will see what they say.

Thanks again guys.....Merry Christmas!!!
