Just FYI here is what I ended up building.

Race Roller with the following parts
Trinity ExTech "II""Full Modded" .24 (Odonnell 097T plugs)
Hitec HS-7955TG Ultra Torque Titanium Gear Digital Servos
Spektrum SR3300T DSM 3 Channel Surface Receiver w/Telemetry
Team Losi Truggy Wheels, Zero Offset
Pro-Line Caliber VTR M3
Team Orion EFRA 2057 Pipe
Ballistic Batteries 6V 2700mAh Receiver Battery Pack
Losi Starter Box (spent a few hours modding it to work with old school Gel Cell, this thing will crank a non broken in freezing cold .28 with ease!)

I'm really happy with this setup. See you guys at the track as soon as my back is healthy enough.

RTR. sell the servos off w/the radio. thats 200bux or so back. u have a starter box now too and a rx battery (u can go lipo later). buy some good servos like u wouldve already had to do. the 454 that comes w/truck is a stellar engine just like its smaller brother the 350 in the buggy. rip it up and enjoy. the stock chassis wears as tough as the team chassis. and if/when its dead, u'll replace it with a BCE unit anyway. every1 loves to spend other folks $ vicariously thru the net. u'll more than hang w/the 'big motors' at the club races and while ur motor runs day in/day out....u'll be able to count the # of OS, ninja, GO, NR, RB, etc etc that u finished in front of both on merit and on their inability to stay running.

have fun

R

Too late i see, doh. good luck.
